How many of you have met Marie?

How many of you guys have actually met MArie? Ive been a fan for 17 years now, but Ive never had the pleasure of meating her=(. Ive met Per a LOT of times, but never Marie. How is she towards the fans? Nice?? Did she talked a lot to you? Have she ever been irritated when you met her?

I have met Per & Marie only once, when they came to Italy in 1999 on promotion tour for HAND. They both were extremely kind and patient towards us fan, made sure each of us had their picture taken with them, and signed more than one thing for everyone - I actually had 3 booklets signed!!
But I didn’t really talk to them, except asking for the pics and autographs, I was in some kind of awe :D and there were other people talking to them already, but I can tell you they were really nice and friendly to us!

I met Marie once- she seemed nice she was laughing at the pic on the Soul Deep single she signed for me. I was too busy with Per tho!
Later we went to see them do a tv performance and she recognised us from the meeting earlier, she shook my hand at the end of the recording that was great

I have met Per & Marie in 1992 and 1995 when Roxette came to Buenos Aires for some shows in bigs arenas and in 1999 when the promotion tour for HAND arrived to my country.

To answer your questions Rox-atic: she’s mostly nice, and if you treat her well (respectful and not jumping on her or stalking her) she’s extra nice. Like anyone she has moody days, I’ve seen her get snappy at people who want photos and sometimes roll her eyes and make annoyed tsk sounds. But I never saw her be mean or rude just for nothing, she only does it when there’s too many fans and she gets frustrated, or like I said if someone is disrespectful. Most of the time she went out of her way to greet fans and be kind.

Marie is incredible nice, she is natural and she can sign you things even she is tired, always better if you are a normal person, not loud and hysterical. I think that she feels scared about that kind of people.
I don´t know, but she makes it so easy, even you are nervous she makes the situation more relaxed. Maybe it sounds strange but she has something like peace, really.
Unforgetable for sure.
I hope that i´ll meet her again some day.

Once. In Vienna. After the show. She signed me the RS cd and a wallpaper, but didn´t even look at me. Per at least said ‘cheers!‘ and he asked me to hold the wallpaper somehow that he could sign better. Marie couldn´t sign because I kept it in the air and she gave up in a second, when I have changed the position, she didn´t consider signing again. So I got quite embarrassed.

That’s funny Max-Tob, I had the exact opposite experience to you LOL. Every time I met Per he wouldn’t speak or look up at me. Marie on the other hand went out of her way to smile, think of something small to talk about, hug, hold your hand or whatever! I guess it really does depend on when and where and how you meet them. Marie seems to get freaked out in busy and hectic situations and tries to get out of there, while Per is more cool. I only found him to be friendly once when he was drunk LOL, but so many others tell me he’s super nice. I’ve heard wonderful stories and horror stories about both of them and I could tell you a few also! ;)

I am not a wallpaper-fanatic, but I bought one in a rush because I could stay around for more 4 seconds then...I am not a small guy, but hell, that wallpaper was huge, it was a sort of wall between me and them. I just think about one thing: Per is faster in taking sudden decisions, Marie just try to react to situations, not actually thinking about them. haha. Per’s family was just meters away, some of the guys in the band as well, we were 3 or 4 people saying “hi” more or less at the same time. But well, you’re totally right - it’s hard to catch both of them in extremely good mood. It depends on things that are beyond us. As for my side, I tried to do all the required gestures so that I won’t scare them. I look normal, I don’t even have a roxette t-shirt, I don’t talk loud, I don’t start telling them pathetic stuff, my English is decent - hell, what more could I offer?? hahahaha
@Judith: OH!!! It must be that! The detector!! I knew it!!! I knew it!
ps: i am a fan of both; but i happen to like more per’s writing skills than marie’s writing skills, that’s all. Do you think I can cheat the detector though? lol

I met her in Vienna’01 as well and she was really nice. We even chatted for a while. Per was the one who looked kind of shy and in a hurry...but that’s still one of the most memorable times in my life *sighs* :)

She’s a bit cold...or at least she seems that way until she knows you. I used to get a bit upset when she would sign my autograph and shove it back at me, then she’d run to another fan and hug them. I wondered if she didn’t like me or if I did something wrong, but then one day out of nowhere she just started holding my hand and hugging me all the time, so it was clear that she was just being shy before, not rude. Per was actually a bit the same, he was super unfriendly at first, then when he recognised me he started to smile and be nice.

Not in the loud obnoxious way I would have been ten years ago, but with respect, care, appreciation for who they are, what they do. I used to dream a lot about meeting them, and it used to be so real... But now it’s very different. Well, I have never met her personally to be honest, but I did have quite a special experience with Marie. It was during the October concert in 1994 in Germany Kiel, after the first couple of songs there was a point when she was talking to the audience. Unfortunately I had to sit all the way at the top left wing (would have prefered to be in the crowd). To my surprise the people in my wing were the only ones not standing up and totally freakind out. So there was I, the only one in my wing, jumping on my feet and going absolutely crazy. Marie looked up to me, walked over to the left side at the cat walk and blew a kiss into my direction!!! It was quite amazing!!!

In the meddle of the show i was so excited and crying a lot ( I confess!!!) so roxette star to play a accoustic version of I’m sorry; Marie was sitting, and in the chorous she stand up and point to me singing “ I’m really sorry I made you cry”. It was really fantastic!!!!
By the way! Anybody knows where I can find this version to download?

I met her in Barcelona after the showcase.
She was very nice. She signed my Den Ständiga Resan booklet and my Efter Stormen LP.
Unfortunately I did not get the chance to have a little chat with her because Marie Dimberg pulled Marie away to have a little chat with Marie herself! Grrr...
Besides, when she came in the room and saw me standing there with the Efter Stormen LP in my hands she pionted happily surprised at my LP and said HEJ!
