Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers is a rock band. One of Per‘s fave :0) Next month Tom Petty is releasing his new solo album, so I wonder if I‘m the only one who is looking forward to it. :0) Saving Grace is his new single. You should listen to it, of course it‘s not one of his best songs, but you can try.
I recommend Tom Petty‘s album “Wildflowers”. Really worth listening!

I’ve heard that cover coyboyusa is talking about and I don’t see anything special about it.
It mimicks exactly the original song. What’s the point in doing that? It’s like the original with a different voice. There isn’t any artistic input at all from it, it’s a mere performance.

And if anyone feels about this opinion, I’m sorry, but try listening to both and judge by yourselves... :)

About Saving Grace, I haven’t heard. But lately Petty sounds a bit boring to me :(

You are right, he is a little bit boring nowadays, but I‘m sure the new album will be much better. “Highway companion” his his solo album which will be released after 4 years break, so I really count on something interesting :0)

’Saving Grace’ has a great chorus, ’Square One’ is a pretty ballad, ’Big Weekend’ is ’Traveling Wilbury’ type fun, and ’Flirting with Time’ is another catchy winner.
