°°° The Nanana Hits

Roxette as well as Mf & PG use often NANANANANANANA ...
I think it’s time to count the Rox songs which include a “Nanana ...”-part. Everyone should add ONE “Nanana-Song” and the result should be a (long) list. Wouldn’t it be interesting? I reckon there are more tracks than we actually think... (Maybe the next GH-album will be “The Nanana Hits” if greedy EMI reads through... ;)
I’ll start:

if you’re counting G.T. too, then you’ll have to consider the LA NA NA NA NA in “Tuffa tider” too ;)

I know this doesn’t count as “nanana” but some variations were found in:
June Afternoon: wawa
You Can’t Put Your Arms ...: papapapa
Looking For Jane: papapa
Brilliant Carreer (SOAP): nana nananana...
Are You An Old Hippie Sir: papapapapa papapapapa...

Someone should take notes of these tracks and make “The NaNa Medley”, hehehehe! ;)

There’s also a little of the “na na na” in the background of Crush On You.

Hey this looks like it’s more difficult to find a song that DOESN’T feature the nananana LOL!!

Cool list ;)
Now we probably have the reason, why lots of critics call Roxette’s music “rocky children songs (nursery rhyme)”...

Simon Le Bon said in an interview for Radio 2 that if he had his way, all the new Duran songs would be ’doo doo doo’, as he didn’t want to face the embarrassing prospect of autocue. Maybe Rox having all the ’NANANANANA’ bits is an excuse for either of them to sneak a look at the lyrics sheet in time for next verse or chorus, just to save them from embarrassing themselves by forgetting the words in front of thousands of people. And, everyone can join in NANANANA bits, you don’t have to understand what they are singing!

Son of a Plumber’s Brilliant Carreer.
I was thinking about Elliott Smith, an American singer, who had a series of “No-name” songs which went like No-name#1, No-name#2... He even had two songs in one album called Watlz#1 and Watlz#2. It seems the guy had a problem when thinking about names for his songs. And it seems Gessle has problems when thinking about words for his, haha.
