"Making love, I like watching all your fireworks"

Hi, folks!

Could someone tell me what that “Fireworks” line means? I’m not really sure whether I got it or not...

well it could be interpreted in a couple of ways.

Literally: two people making love and also watching fireworks...

But to me it means: two people making love and as a result there is an explosion of passion - so like fireworks.

the ’checking in - checking out’ has now a double meaning as well ;-)

Or, a couple making love (literally) and she watching the “fireworks” of him (not literally) ;-)

that’s an easy one: don’t take the verse out of the context - it also says something like “I like it when I light the stars in your eyes, just like fireworks in the sky”.
So it’s all about eye-contact while making love. As simple as that.
And keeping eye contact is already a leitmotif in gessle’s lyrics; in “the weight of the world” you can also find something like this (I like to watch your eyes when I make love to you) and I know there are some more on the same “topic”, but I can’t remember them right now.

It seemed that Mr. G like to make eye contact when doing it :)

The song is about a pyromaniac psycho killer who likes to set his girlfriend’s eyes on fire.
I thought it was too obvious....

@Ferdan
I know the whole song is about a psycho man, but I’m more focused at the meaning of that single line...

Anyway, thanks for the help! ;-)

for me this expression (fireworks in the song) mean much about passion between a couple

It was fun to read your intepretations ;) and that thing about eye-contact is also in “Like lovers do”, when it goes “When I look into your eyes..I’m drowning in an ocean of emotions”

yeh, my “interpretation”.....

yeah, they’re using Fireworks as a metaphor for an orgasm. I really like the song, apart from the stupid middle bit. Who’s coming to get who?? lol

finally someone talked about the interpretation I was thinking of... :-P

LOL

But, making that interpretation, the woman looks a little bi*ch, don’t you think? ;-)

Why?? I don’t think so..
