Hi everybody!!! I’ve been searching the internet for downloadable versions of Roxette’s TV Gigs specially from 1986 thru 1991. So far I’ve had no luck. Does anybody have any idea of where I can find something like this....???? Thank you in advance!!

It’s great fun to watch all those old TV gigs!!
The Italian TV shows are very funny ... The crowd rock like no other and even the hosts of the show sing along the lyrics (f.e. in Sleeping in my car at Generazione X, Italy ’95).
The little interview of the tall Italian lady before the YDUM gig is fun too (she asked Marie: “Roxette, how many records have you sold?” ;))
BTW: It’s very noticeable that Per and Marie are very bad playback-lip sync-performers... but that’s nothing new ;)

Probably they are as »good« or even better as other bands who have to perform playback and it is sometimes a »youtube-sync-problem« but I often saw fans in the crowd with a much better timing than Marie (I guess they listened more often to the songs on the album than M&P did but that’s a different stroy ...). It’s a shame that nowadays bands don’t have the chance to perform live in most of German TV shows ... In my opinion it’s worse if some kind of accident (sound off etc.) happens during a playback performace than a live guitar solo sounds incorrect.

I just wanted to say, as I made some of the videos that are on youtube.com, that my pc is not really fast, so I tried to make the videos the best I could, but sometimes there might indeed be a synch problem, which was not on the original tape, but came up when transferring the video to my computer. And it could be also due to the youtube.com website itself when streaming the videos, I don’t know.

Back in the 70’s there was no Playback at least my Mother says that,cuz she grew up with Music Shows that came on weekends where she got to watch her Fav.Music shows!

Try to look at www.roxette.cz website. Sometimes they have this kind of gigs in the rarity section. Recently they added for example “I call your name” performance. Although it‘s black and white... :0(
