haven´t you heard this album? it´s just great, look for it somewhere.

Elvis in Germany is one of my favourite tracks. I would replace “T-T-T-Take It” instead. Silly song, I never liked it.

btw, regarding “stupid”, this was the only dream come true, it doesn´t sound quite different from the original. my idea is that marie would give this album something special... (like roxette, maybe).
tavo said on May 5, 2006 14:56:
i don´t like ttt-take it! so much either, but since it resembles sleeping in my car a lot, i don´t think marie on the lead vocals would be good. however, a new version sung by they both... oh god! it´d be great!
davidc4 said on May 5, 2006 15:07:
ive never heard it and the only copy i found on net was over £30 and without a job at the moment i doubt i can afford it lol

A Rox watering-down killed stupid... don’t want the rest of the album tarnished.

I can’t believe that TWATG wasn’t commercially released in the UK. I mean, it was released in Argentina!
Personally, TWATG is an excellent album. I don’t know why “Love Doesn’t Live Here” is not on it since it’s one of the best song.

david
you should be able to pick up TWATG for a low price on ebay. i bought it 6-8 weeks ago from a uk ebay seller for just GBP4.00

i still enjoy the fact that despite it being released and actually promoted on virgin radio that people say its still not been released in the uk:)

I think on that album is not space for Marie on lead vocals. Maybe on the Ballads like wish you the best or I´ll be alright....
But it would be nice to hear her more on backing vocals on that album.
BUT: Even then this would be no Roxette! Even if she would sing on every song like on I´ll be alright... Pramenad genom stan is also not Roxette. Gessle decided in which direction they went and not both...
The album is so much perfect as a solo... It´s like a different band. If you wish that Roxette would do that album it´s like you wished to have a Beatles-Album recorded by the Stones - just as example....

was it never released here? i saw it in a second hand cd shop a few years ago under roxette i think for about 8quid. i cant remember where i got mine back in 97 but i thought i had ordered it in hmv.

Marie actually sings in I’ll be all right... one of my favourites...

a couple of copies even made it across the water to Channel Islands!! Was very excited when I saw them in the shop. Didn’t think that it would be available over here. But saying that, I’ve brought Room Service, TBH & TPH on day of release. Our music shops over here have got worse recently, but that will all end soon when we finally get a HMV which opens in June!!!
purplemedusa said on May 10, 2006 13:19:
Tavo... ur original tracklist you posted would be incredably similar to the sound & feel of Room Service album, actually!
tavo said on May 10, 2006 14:01:
@purplemedusa: is that good or bad? i mean, i don´t like room service so much but these songs are different, i think...
Claire said on May 16, 2006 13:32:
thought so, i just checked the cd last night and it has a uk number

what if marie had participated in this album? i think it would have been the best roxette album ever (after joyride). even better than cbb! i used to imagine some of the tracks sung by marie and this is my ideal tracklisting:
1. stupid (it was finally re-released as a rox track)
2.do you wanna... (per´s vocals are alright, can´t imagine marie here)
3. love doesn´t live here(by marie)
4. kix (per rules, but marie in the backing vocals instead of... that girl would be great)
5. i want you to know (by marie, definitely)
6.reporter (similar to sdlha, so no marie here)
7. always breaking my heart (by marie)
8.wish you the best (by marie)
9.t-t-t take it! (per and marie)
10.i´ll be alright (by marie, although i love per´s vocals)
11.there is my baby (it´s alright like this)
12.lay down your arms (by marie)
yea, saturday, b-any-1... and elvis... have been removed. never liked those songs. but the bsides are great. so what do you think? i can even listen to marie in these songs...
