there are many rox songs that are similar to other artists´. but i think most rox songs resemble... other rox songs! per once said that many people label roxette as a band that only releases two types of songs: power ballads and power-pop hits. however, he said that roxette is many things, much more than two types of songs. so he wrote HAND, in which most songs differ considerably. but this didn´t work so he came back to rox´s old style and then he wrote room service. and that´s where i stop to say: you all know that TCOTH resembles the look, but did you notice that it resembles the chaps´95 donna bass mix version more than the original one? actually every song in room service was meant to sound like the old ones, but did we need the look with a new name? hopefully marie sings the lyrics this time, so that makes the difference (just a little). other examples of resemblaces include:
sleeping in my car
she doesn´t live here anymore
t-t-t take it!
always breaking my heart

now can you think of other rox songs that have something in common with... other rox songs?

the only other duo that comes to mind are the eurythmics but they where totally different.annie and marie both had blonde hair though and dave and per had similar ish styles.

i cant either if im honest.i see similarities between the big l and sleeping in my car tho for some reason also june afternoon and she doesnt live here anymore probably because they both featured gyllene tider

There’s some artists that i can’t stand because too much of their material sounds the same.
With Roxette though, the have their fast/slow/mid, duets/Per/Marie, and variations in between so i feel they’ve got quite a nice mix.
Although Per has said there are times that the songs that he writes are very similar. I think he said he had a few songs written in the same style of WICF, but only used that one in the end.

i think my world MLML was one of the best tracks on room service i heard it on the radio in work once and nearly keeled over from shock.a roxette song that wasnt even a single being played without anyone being blackmailed or brainwashed

the look berars a striking resemblance to the look 95! ha ha only joking.i think Roxette can be summed up in one song Almost Unreal as even Per has said if somebody had to do a parody of Roxette it would sound like that.I think Roxette have their own sound as there arent many acts like them male/female duo who make light happy pop music.
