My self-made Rox compilation and the intro issue

Hi, folks!
I got a problem as I make my own Rox-compilations: how should I deal with the “live-intros” of songs like “The Heart Shaped Sea”, or “Queen Of Rain”, from Tourism album? I mean, is there a way to remove that sound, keeping the studio sound that’s behind it, as the version of “Queen Of Rain” from “The Ballad Hits” album?
It sounds so strage to place that music with a intro like that among the songs...

@ditroia
Thank you very much... Could you give me some tips to make it after installing Audacity? I use “Goldwave”, but I’m a beginner user; there’s a lot of tools that I just don’t know how to use...

I have the “Almost Unreal” single, with THSS on it, and I noticed that it goes straight into the guitar instead of the keyboard intro (which the live sounds from “The Look” can be heard in the background of). Is there a version out there with the keyboard intro, besides Tourism?
Edit: While on the subject - are there any other Tourism tracks available with the live sounds not in them? It would be great to hear the piano intro of IMHBL properly. :)

Hi, you should be able to scource a version of QOR with out the intro quite easily as it was released on a single and on some compilations.
There is a 7” Version of THSS that is available on the B-Side of Almost Unreal. This 7” was available as part of a boxset call “A retrospective”.
However I do not know if this version has the concert intro, and even if it didn’t the quality wouldn’t be as good.
I believe your best bet would be to edit a version of THSS without the concert. You could do this by ripping the song to a WAV file and then editing it using a program such as Audacity [Which is Free], and then outputting it back as a WAV file.
Unless someone else knows of a Version THSS without the intro, that was released on CD, then that would be your best option.
Cheers
