Hi, Per. I hope you are reading this. My name is Leandro, I am from Argentina and Ive been a Roxette fan since I was 7 years old. Now I am 21. I don’t know if the other people in the forum feel the same, but I have the need to listen to the OLD Roxette. I mean, when I bought Have a Nice Day, the first Roxette album after a long break, I was expecting songs like Joyride, or power ballads like Listen to your heart. Where have all those days gone? Roxette used to be power pop for a long time but it’s not anymore. When I put the CD in my Hi-Fi and listened to Crush on You I said “This sounds very much like Tekno music” But anyway I started to like it more everyday. The point is that for the fans that are fans since Joyride or previous albums, we liked Roxette because of the DISTORTED ELECTRIC GUITARS everywhere, the POWER BALLADS with soul-filling GUITAR SOLOS, with those PROCESSED DRUMS you used in songs like The Look and Dressed for Success. I know that bands have to keep up with the times and have a “modern” sound, but I think there has been a BIG change and at least for me, it was a big shock. Anyway you will always be my idol, I will keep on buying Roxette’s albums (I have them all), and your solo albums too. I hope you take it well and don’t get angry with me :) I just wanted to suggest returning to Roxette’s old sound.
