The Anniversary Greatest Hits

Ok, so now that the ’fans’ seem to get the long-awaited Rox-Box and the greater public (another) Greatest Hits package for Roxette’s 20th birthday I’d like to play a little with the tracklists (I know, it’s still a long way till October...).

If EMI has anything to say the GH will be nothing but singles we already had on TBH & TPH but do you think the collection might span all the way from 1986 to 2006? You know, finally we might see Neverending Love in there, for example.

I believe the record will come out as an 18-track CD so it’ll be interesting to see which songs get to be banned. I, for one, wouldn’t like the very greatest hits to appear - rather something from each album. What do you think?

Will be same GH tracklisting (I mean, without the new ones it included) as “Don’t bore us” plus Wish I could Fly, Stars and The Centre of The Heart, removing Almost Unreal and plus 2 new songs.

It better have Almost Unreal but I sense it vanishing from the tracklisting.
Based on Charts, A Uk ’Greatest Hits’ would include the following:

1. The Look
2. It Must Have Been Love
3. Listen to Your Heart
4. Dangerous
5. Dressed For Success
6. Joyride
7. Fading Like A Flower
8. The Big L.
9. Spending My Time
10. Church Of Your Heart
11. How Do You Do!
12. Almost Unreal
13. Sleeping In My Car
14. Crash! Boom! Bang!
15. Run To You
16. Wish I Could Fly
17. New Song
18. New Song

Most of the RS and HAND songs charted badly or not at all here so they wouldn’t appear excapt WISF which reached 11 :)

Hmmm... but they could get a little more creative, don’t you think?

“Anyone”, for instance, is a cool ballad - has aged well over the years whereas songs like “The Big L.” or “How Do You Do!” sound a little, well you know. They might have sold better - but who remembers that 10+ years after?

Almost Unreal should stay ! I’ll be grumpy if they take that out and leave the Big L in !

That tracklisting was based oin UK charts. Anyone wasnt even released in the UK but I agree they should be creative.

Here’s my suggestion:

Part I: 1 Dressed for success / 2 The look / 3 Neverending love (remix) / 4 Sleeping in my car / 5 June afternoon / 6 Joyride / 7 Opportunity nox / 8 The centre of the heart / 9 Stars / 10 New song (uptempo)

Part II: 11 New song (ballad) / 12 Fading like a flower / 13 Anyone / 14 Wish I could fly / 15 Queen of rain / 16 Crash! Boom! Bang! / 17 Listen to your heart / 18 It must have been love

@ chrisjankunas

Oh sorry, was writing my reply for Santi.

I like How Do You Do!

Down with The Big L. !!!!
Down with Vulnerable !!!!
Down with Run To You if need be !!!!

EDIT: And down with June Afternoon !!!!

But that collection of your AK isnt bad. :)

With there being two new tracks I would say this:

1. It Must Have Been Love
2. The Look
3. Dressed For Success
4. Listen To Your Heart
5. Dangerous
6. Joyride
7. Fading Like A Flower
8. How Do You Do!
9. Almost Unreal
10. Sleeping In My Car
11. Run To You
12. You Don’t Understand Me
13. Wish I Could Fly
14. Stars
15. The Centre Of The Heart
16. A Thing About You
17. New Track
18. New Track

Whilst fans would like to see rarer material it would never happen because in my opinion a Greatest Hits will only make money if the big hits are present. The Rox Box can serve to satisfy the fans’ cravings in this respect.

But having given this list, I do think that a compilation *not* done in chronological order would be nice. Maybe then Neverending Love could be included, but I certainly wouldn’t include the track in a chronological presentation because it sounds very dated and would need to be buried somewhere in the middle!! :0)

All the best, Rich

How about (seen as we ought to have a new GT) a mixed CD whit songs fading one into another? Like an 80 mins megamix!

Or a remixed hits album...!?! *Dreams away*-

remixed hits album would be gr8! :o)

Still dreaming of somewhat like this...

01 NEW SONG
02 Neverending Love (2006 re-recording)
03 I Want You (with Roxette, Eva Dahlgren & Ratata)
03 The Look (Jimmy Monell remix)
04 Listen To Your Heart (2006 re-recording)
05 It Must Have Been Love
06 Joyride (Almighty 2006 remix)
07 Spending My Time (guitar version)
08 How Do You Do! (Jimmy Monell remix)
09 Fingertips (2006 re-recording)
10 Sleeping In My Car (Shooting Star treatment
11 Crash! Boom! Bang!/Vulnerable (2006 medley)
12 You Don’t Understand Me (duet version)
13 Wish I Could Fly
14 Stars (acoustic version)
15 Crush On You (Almighty 2006 remix)
16 The Centre Of The Heart
17 Real Sugar (Almight 2006 remix)
18 Milk And Toast And Honey (acoustic version)
19 A Thing About You
20 NEW SONG

Like I mentioned on the front page commentary, the tracklisting is going to be quite interesting. Will they focus on the big earlier hits or will it be representative of their entire catalogue? It would seem a bit odd weighing the early hits over the latter material though. We could easily have the 4 big singles from ’Look Sharp’ and at least 4 singles from ’Joyride’ make the cut as well, taking up half the album just from those two efforts. I have doubts we’ll see that happen, however. Instead, I think we’ll get a broader overview. Personally, I would like to see an altered tracklising, using different mixes, released or unreleased (although I know this won’t happen). For example, instead of the typical 1990 version of “It Must Have Been Love,” include the ’Tourism’ studio version. Or, instead of the usual “Swedish Single Edit” for “Listen To Your Heart,” include the “U.S. Remix.”

So what will they realistically include? I think:

01 The Look
02 Listen To Your Heart (7” Edit)
03 Dangerous (7” Version)
04 It Must Have Been Love (7” Edit)
05 Joyride (7” Edit)
06 Fading Like A Flower
07 Spending My Time (Edit/Fade)
08 How Do You Do!
09 Sleeping In My Car (7” Edit)
10 Crash! Boom! Bang! (7” Edit)
11 You Don’t Understand Me
12 Wish I Could Fly (Radio Edit/Fade)
13 Stars
14 The Centre Of The Heart
15 Milk And Toast And Honey
16 A Thing About You
17 Opportunity Nox
18 NEW SONG
19 NEW SONG

@TheRain: And what is so quite interesting about your tracklisting? :O

Lets hope it is something slightly different, either mixes that haven’t been released on the previous ones, or maybe something else entirely (not likely but we can always hope)

Marcus... me likes your list!! Well we’ve already got super kewl mixes of FLAF, there’s some unreleased WICF remixes made for the US market in 2000 AND COY remixes... with a little bit of effort these could b a good start to an awesome Remixed Hits CD!! And, adding some classic mixes (remastered) - that’s not been available previously on CD, would also rock!!

To me, it’s going to be like this:

1. New song (uptempo)
2. The Look
3. Dressed for Success
4. Listen to your Heart
5. It Must Have Been Love
6. Joyride
7. Fading Like a Flower
8. The Big L.
9. How Do You Do!
10. Almost Unreal
11. Sleeping in my Car
12. Crash! Boom! Bang!
13. You Don’t Understand Me
14. Wish I Could Fly
15. Stars
16. The Centre of the Heart
17. A Thing About You
18. New Song (ballad)

The only doubt I have is to change Almost Unreal by Opportunity Nox. Don’t know... This tracklist is boring, isn’t it? But that’s the reality.

A remixes album would be so good! :)

All the speculation about a posible tracklist is totally sterile. What’s the point discussing this? We can dream a lot, but we are going to get the most realistic trackslist ever...

It’s just that gossiping is healthy. Or at least we like to think so because it’s fun. :P :DD

I don’t think they’d leave out MATAH. Sure that wasn’t their biggest sales hit but it’s definitely been Roxette’s most played song on German radio in the last 5 years.

Maybe it’s not so important how big the hits were at time of their releases but how they are rated today by public and media. Some are real growers, some got dusty!

ROXETTE - 20 YEARS OF POWER POP - THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION

14 Wish I Could Fly
15 Stars
16 The Centre Of The Heart
17 Millk And Toast And Honey
18 A Thing About You
19 Opportunity Nox
20 New Song (ballad)

I don’t think all these songs would fit on one CD, but that’s my list. I still miss some songs (like The Big L, Dressed for Success and Anyone), but there is not enough space for them. M&T&H must be included too. Remember it was a big hit in some countries, like Brazil (where it was the main theme of a popular soap-opera).

Oh god now i forgot what i wanted to say... oopsie! Nevermind this post!

Oh yes I remebered!! Room Service, your list sounds very likely... hope it won’t be THAT predictable!

01. New Song ( uptempo)
02. The Look
03. Dressed For Success
04. Listen To Your Heart
05. Dangerous
06. It Must Have Been Love
07. Joyride

7. Fading Like A Flower
8. How Do You Do
9. Almost Unreal
10. Sleeping in My Car
11. Crash! Boom! Bang!
12. You Don’t Understand Me
13. Wish I Could Fly
14. The Centre of the Heart
15. A Thing About You
16. Opportunity Nox
17. NEW SONG
18. NEW SONG

Just a note:

Don’t you think Dangerous could be replaced with Dressed for Success?

I now Dangerous charted well better (in the US, for instance) but DFS is more...you know, the first single from LS in Sweden, a big favourite on the stages etc. A more “in memorian” type of song!

I´m afraid we´ll have a double greatest hits album... and only the 3th one will be the “rarities II”...

(OK I´ll try to think positive: it will be a double GH album plus 2 additional “rarities” albums :P)

I can´t see them cutting off songs like “Dressed For Sucess”, “Dangerous” or MATAH... and yes, I do think we´ll have “Pearls of passion” songs included this time.

1. New Song
2. Surrender
3. The Look
4. Listen to your heart
5. Dangerous
6. It must have been love
7. Joyride
8. Fading like a flower
9. Spending my time
10. How do you do
11. Almost unreal
12. Sleeping in my car
13. Fireworks
14. Wish I Could Fly
15. Salvation
16. The Centre of the heart
17. Milk and Toast and Honey
18. A thing about you
19. New Song

1. New Song (power pop up tempo mega hit)
2. The Look
3. Dressed For Success
4. Dangerous
5. Listen to your heart
6. It must have been love
7. Joyride
8. Fading like a flower
9. Spending my time
10. How do you do!!!!!!!!
11. Almost unreal
12. Sleeping in my car
13. Fireworks
14. Wish I Could Fly
15. The Centre of the heart
16. Milk and Toast and Honey
17. A thing about you
18. New Song (heart melting ballad)

Hope the new songs not be “ILILT” and “SITS” taken from the bad hair day demos, they may be included in a new album and be the first singles...

I think that “Neverending love” should be included this time cause it’s within the period 1986-2006.

It´s funny - these topics where everyone writes down songlists.

But inspite that fact I wanna say something: To make this GH something special they should use the best Liveversions of the best songs (from Look sharp tour until RS-Tour...). Maybe mixed with some studioversions (like How do you do where no very good live versions are recorded) and the new songs... That would be more interessting than releasing the same thing they released in spring 2003 (pop hits)

That’s not a bad idea Galning, but unfortunately don’t think that would happen. Would certainly make up for another GH hits though!

Another Greatest hits ...again!????
Dahhhh....I prefer A rox-box the following albums like A live cd , a dance remixe cd , an unreleased song cd , A E.P CD , the unplugged cd , And a cd with duets !
And then 3 or 2 DVD´s !

After the release of the rox-box there should be followed by a new Album not another Greates hits cd ... c´mon everybody is getting sick of greatest hits after greatest hists! WE WANT FRESH STUFF!
OH I WAS FORGOTING TO MENTION SOMETHING....WHAT IN THE HECK THE SOAP ALBUM IS SO SPECIAL SOUND SO BLUARGHH ! :P
I PREFER THE CHANGE CD FROM MARIE!

@animalkingdom: replacing Dangerous????
That would be the last song to be replaced!

@Galning: Won’t happen - people are apparently already too stupid to find the “R”-section in a shop or search for “Roxette” in online shops, how are they supposed to recognize the songs if the versions on the CDs differ from the ones they know from the radio or TV? ;-)

@harriej
I’m sure you mean after The Look :D

I love Galnings idea, it’d be great to have a disc like that, too bad it will never happen though :-(

What about:

01. New Track
02. New Track
03. New Track
04. New Track
05. New Track
06. New Track
07. New Track
08. New Track
09. New Track
10. New Track
11. New Track
12. New Track
13. New Track
14. New Track

;-)

Just my fantasy, but...

1 New Song
2 Neverending Love
3 Chances
4 The Look
5 Listen To Your Heart
6 Dangerous
7 Joyride
8 Fading Like A Flower
9 Spending My Time
10 Church Of Your Heart
11 How Do You Do!
12 Almost Unreal
13 Sleeping In My Car
14 Fireworks (I’ll give everyone 10 euros if this one is included... ;)
15 Run To You
16 You Don’t Understand Me
17 She Doesn’t Live Here Anymore
18 Wish I Could Fly
19 Stars
20 The Centre Of The Heart
21 Milk And Toast And Honey
22 A Thing About You
23 Opportunity Nox
24 THE SWEET HELLO, THE SAD GOODBYE!

Yep, too much songs, but there are just so many :)

It will probably be something like this:

1 New Song
2 The Look
3 Dressed For Success
4 Listen To Your Heart (Swedish Single Version)
5 Dangerous (Edit)
6 It Must Have Been Love
7 Joyride (Edit)
8 Fading Like A Flower
9 Church Of Your Heart
10 Spending My Time
11 How Do You Do!
12 Almost Unreal
13 Sleeping In My Car (Edit)
14 Crash!Boom!Bang! (Edit)
15 You Don’t Understand Me
16 Wish I Could Fly (Edit)
17 Stars
18 The Centre Of The Heart
19 Milk And Toast And Honey
20 A Thing About You
21 New Song

Unfortunatelly, I think they´ll skip “Neverending Love” again...

Just thought about updating my tracklist since we got a hint of what COULD be included (according to that infamous info folder;)

Btw, I think the songs SHOULD definitely be in a NON-chronological order. You know Dressed after The Look gets a little unimaginative since 1988, 1995, 2000 and 2003.

Anyway:

01 Joyride
02 New song (uptempo)
03 Crash! Boom! Bang!
04 Wish I could fly
05 Dangerous
06 Opportunity nox
07 You don’t understand me
08 Spending my time
09 Dressed for success
10 How do you do!
11 Fading like a flower
12 A thing about you
13 Stars
14 Sleeping in my car
15 Milk and toast and honey
16 It must have been love
17 The centre of the heart
18 The look
19 New song (ballad)
20 Listen to your heart

Run to you & Almost unreal are gone from my list - since the promo folder is now out-of-date, and are they really putting a total of 22 songs on one CD? 20 years, 20 songs sounds cooler :)

If Almost Unreal goes then I won’t buy it ;D

Goodbye to :

1. How Do You Do!
2. You Don’t Understand me

The Rox camp seems to have written off HDYD as they nevereplay it live, Marie says she doesn’t like it and even Per seemed to slam it in TPH booklet

And You Don’t Understand me is alright but didnt do wonders whereas AU was one of Roxette’s biggest UK hits !!! And my personal favourite ! ;D

So that would make mine

01 Joyride
02 New song (uptempo)
03 Crash! Boom! Bang!
04 Wish I could fly
05 Dangerous
06 Opportunity nox
07 Almost Unreal
08 Spending my time
09 Dressed for success
10 Run To You
11 Fading like a flower
12 A thing about you
13 Stars
14 Sleeping in my car
15 Milk and toast and honey
16 It must have been love
17 The centre of the heart
18 The look
19 New song (ballad)
20 Listen to your heart

It should be a 2-disc album:

The first disc:
1. Almost Unreal
2. A Thing About You
3. Crash! Boom! Bang!
4. Dangerous
5. Fading Like A Flower
6. Fireworks
7. How Do You Do!
8. It Must Have Been Love
9. Joyride
10. Listen To Your Heart
11. Milk And Toast And Honey
12. Neverending Love
13. Queen Of Rain
14. Sleeping In My Car
15. Spending My Time
16. Stars
17. The Centre Of The Heart
18. The Look
19. Wish I Could Fly
20. You Don’t Understand Me

(20 years, 20 hits)

Second Disc: 15 new tracks (it’s definitely almost unreal:( )

Mayeb they think 20 hits and 2 new songs?

atleast I think the CD will be a bit centred to the US hits... since I think this is the mainpoint with it, to get the attention in the US again... don’t you think?

I think we will get the don’t bore us from 2000 but with small changes...

Anyone who has got a good name for the GH?
Don´t Bore us was a good name. Pop/Ballad Hits boring.

I wasn’t gonna reply to this thread, but I’m bored. The tracklisting is going to be so predictable. Obviously all the big hits will be on there (they’ll be stupid not to put them on), so I think the tracklisting will be this. Probably the same as the majority of the others. I do think it’ll be in date order though.

1 - New Song
2 - The Look
3 - Dressed For Success
4 - Listen To Your Heart
5 - It Must Have Been Love
6 - Joyride
7 - Fading Like A Flower
8 - The Big L!
9 - Spending My Time
10 - How Do You Do!
11 - Almost Unreal
12 - Sleeping In My Car
13 - Crash! Boom! Bang!
14 - Run To You
15 - You Don’t Understand Me
16 - Wish I Could Fly
17 - Stars
18 - Centre Of The Heart
19 - Real Sugar/Opportunity Nox (Can’t decide - Love both)
20 - New Song

I know it’s not a very inspired, or original, tracklisting but it’s meant to appeal to the general public.

I wonder when we’re gonna get the new song titles??

For me the best tracklist is:

01. New song!
02. Neverending love
03. The Look
04. Dressed for Success
05. Listen to your heart
06. It must have been love
07. Joyride
08. Spending my time
09. Fading like a flower
10. How do you do!
11. Almost unreal
12. Sleeping in my car
13. Crash! Boom! Bang!
14. You don’t understand me
15. Wish I could fly
16. Stars
17. The centre of the heart
18. A thing about you
19. Opportunity nox
20. New Song!

It’s 20 annniversary because Roxette started with Neverending Love!!!

Stars is THE WORST song Roxette have ever done, it’s absolute rubbish.

I doubt they would include it...it wasn’t a hit. Wish I Could Fly will be the only song included from HAND....

ULTIMATE ROXETTE

01 Joyride
02 Fading Like A Flower
03 NEW SONG
04 Church Of Your Heart
05 It Must Have Been Love
06 Dangerous

09 Queen Of Rain
10 Sleeping In My Car
11 You Don’t Understand Me
12 The Look
13 Wish I Could Fly
14 Spending My Time
15 The Big L
16 She Doesn’t Live Here Anymore
17 The Centre Of The Heart
18 A Thing About You
19 Opportunity Nox
20 NEW SONG

I have this on my Ipod (apart from the new songs) and it flows really well. Joyride is a great opening track for the album...

Stars is great, cheesy video!

Stars wasn’t a hit? Hmmm, that’s really interesting...
Stars was actually more successful than WICF in Germany, Norway and Finland (not in airplay, but in singles chart of course), so I think it WAS a hit

Well, maybe the most interesting compillation would be the one that Roxette themselves would do, I mean, choosing their favourite songs instead of just a GH album AGAIN. And after the songs, some comments, anecdotes... And of course, unreleased songs, or demos, or the MTV Unplugged... but not more of the same thing.
I think it’s not that difficult, is it??

> WicF
I was referring to UK hits.

I remember when it came out - all the reviews were hilarious...it’s a terrible song that should never have been let out of Per’s vault. It’s absolute euro trash that would at worst appeal to chavs.

It’s dire.

RIP Stars.

I do like the idea of Per and Marie selecting their favourite songs as well as hits to include....

Maybe Queen Of Rain will be included as it’s one of their favourites...it’s a classy track.

Queen Of Rain should be included, it’s one of the best Rox songs (and one of the most underrated I’d say). I also hope they include Fireworks! (I don’t care if Per hates this song, many fans like it)

@ thomasc

Well, “Stars” is also one of Per’s favourites...The song will DEFINITELY be featured!

animalkingdom - I thought Per said Stars was a “low” moment?

I just pray it’s not on there, it would cheapen the collection in my opinion. Each to their own I suppose - there’s not accounting for taste.

I just hope we get something different this time around....something unexpected....

I don’t think the Pearls Of Passion singles should be as I think they’ve dated.

* coth & m&t&h remixes: so that fans won’t complain they have the same versions in three consecutive major releases (room service => pop & ballad hits => 20 years compilation); remember what happened with “vulnerable”? (c!b!b! => rarities => dbugttc)
* crash boom bang / anyone (medley): because both ballads were big, but since there’s no room to fit both, it would be great to have a studio medley a la room service tour
* skip the once “new” tracks released in previous compilations (ydum, june afternoon, sdlha, atay, on)
* run to you: because i like it

thomasc, you said Stars was not a hit. But you have included SDLHA that was not a hit ANYWHERE in the world!!! Get real, guy.

> Room Service

She Doesn’t Live Here Anymore is a great kick-ass song that is credible. I only hope Rox pick the best tracks.

I have no idea who purchased Stars, but like I said above - there is really no accounting for taste.

No need to be rude dear.

I’m not a fan of Stars either. I would love to hear the demo version though, hopefully that’ll be onthe RoxBox.

I much prefer SDLHA to Stars, and was shocked that it performed so badly. What was the highest position in the charts it got to? I brought the single!!! But I had to get it through the fanclub shop. I also brought the Stars single in the UK, but that was only because I was shocked to actually see it in the shops over here, so had to buy it.

She Doesn’t Live Here Anymore only made #86 in Germany...It didn’t even reach the Swedish Top 60 :(

@ thomasc

Btw, Stars certified GOLD in Sweden. It peaked at no. 13.

I don’t understand why SDLHA was Roxette’s biggest flop, it’s a great song and it ROCKS. btw Is this the only Roxette single which failed to chart in Sweden?

I like ogeid’s idea. It’s very familiar but adds in a few remix’s to add a little variety, and the medley would be something different. Although i think it would be wrong not to include the full version of CBB, seeing as it’s such a great song.

Not a big Stars fan, love the remix’s though. Let’s hope that infamous demo is in the RoxBox somewhere.

And i would’ve bought SDLHA if it was ever released here in OZ.

IS there actually a STARS demo tho? It said it made a transformation in the studio and Per once said we would NEVER hear it. Hmmm I dunno.

@ Wicf

I Call Your Name never charted in Sweden - probably due to the reason that the chart was only a top-20, Run To You also failed. I believe that in 1994 the chart was a top-40.

Wicf:
I Call Your Name, Chances, Run To You, She Doesn´t Live Here Anymore, Un Dia Sin Ti.
Yes, SDLHA rocks, full of energy, great riffs, wild video. This song was originally written for Gyllene Tider and GT members also recorded Rox version.

Yeah, you can really tell it’s a very G.T.-like song!! As much as I love it, maybe it’s not that representative of Rox’s music to be featured in the compilation after all..!

@secretkeeper. Surely thats a good thing?? Stars is also not representative of Rox music really.

The Roxbox will be released in Holland on October 18th! That’s great news as my birthday is on November the 2nd. I sure don’t have to think long what I am going to buy with the money I get!

Just check this link:

@ abysmo

Neither Chances nor Un Dia Sin Ti were commercially released in Sweden. I don’t think UDST was released anywhere as a single except for radio airplay.

But UDSI has a commercial edition released as I have it ! The 2 track cardsleeve one isnt a promo.

@ Sandyman ! :):):):):):):)

Regarding the Greatest Hits “issue”, I already had left my personal thoughts about it in here: http://www2.dailyroxette.com/smalltalk/thread.php/15437

Rather too late for anything like it, now, though... (At least surely for getting to any top 5 of the fans... Also some of that whole idea ends up not even making much sense anymore, since for instance the latest “The Ballad Hits”/”The Pop Hits” package is being deleted...) Anyway...

But I’d still call it “20 Years. 20 Favourites.” (with obviously 20 songs included)! :) And would still keep the non-exclusively-greatest-hits concept for this 20 years anniversary compilation. (And feature the whole 20 years in it as well, certainly having something from “Pearls Of Passion” in there too! And also certainly would arrange the tracklist in some alternative way other than chronologically, this time, for sure that too!)

Okay. Stepping in here for a second. I don’t know the new stuff, well, since about 1996. *sad* Part of that is my own choosing, and part of that is just how it’s been.

But here are the ones I’d pick. I won’t put a full list up, since I dont’ know “Stars” and some of the new stuff at all.

01 - Joyride
02 - Dressed for Success
03 - Dangerous
04 - Fading like a Flower
05 Crash! Boom! Bang!
06 - (something off of Tourism, but not HDYD)
07 - It Must Have Been Love
08 - Almost Unreal
09 - The Look
10 - Listen to Your Heart
11 - Neverending Love
12 - Run to You
13 - Surrender

...
The rest I don’t know.

Now, if this were just up to me, not knowing the new stuff, not counting what’s popular or made it to radio charts

01 - new song
02 - Spending my Time
03 - Neverending Love
04 - Listen to Your Heart
05 - Dangerous
06 - Things Will Never be the Same
07 - Heart-Shaped Sea
08 - Almost Unreal
09 - new song
10 - Run to You
10 - First Girl On the Moon
11 - The Sweet Hello, The Sad Goodbye
12 - Queen of Rain
13 - I Could Never Give you Up
14 - something I haven’t heard before not necessarily new
15 - same
16 - new song
17 - I Don’t Want to Get Hurt
18 - something unfamiliar to me
19 - You Don’t Understand Me
20 - The Look

There. That’s my pick for just me. :)

I think the tracklist should look like this:

1. New Song (uptempo)
2. Neverending Love
3. It Must Have Been Love
4. The Look
5. Listen To Your Heart
6. Dangerou
7. Dressed For Success
8. Joyride
9. Fading Like A Flower
10. How Do You Do!
11. Almost Unreal
12. Sleeping In My Car
13. Fireworks
14. You Don’t Understand Me
15. Wish I Could Fly
16. Stars
17. The Centre Of The Heart
18. Milk And Toast And Honey
19. A A Thing About You
20. Opportunity Nox
21. New Song (Ballad)

It’s a bit too long, but hopefully it will be a double cd - Roxette had WAY too many hits to just make 1 cd.... doesn’t make sense!!!

I think the hits collection should at least span the whole 20 years.....

1. New Song
2. Neverending Love
3. It Must Have Been Love
3. The Look
4. Listen To Your Heart
5. Dangerous
6. Joyride
7. Fading Like A Flower
8. How Do You Do!
9. Almost Unreal
10. Sleeping In My Car
11. You Don’t Understand Me
12. Wish I Could Fly
13. Stars
14. The Centre Of The Heart
15. Milk & Toast & Honey
16. A Thing About You
17. Opportunity Nox
18. New Song

So if I could make up the setting for “A collection of Roxette Hits - Their 20 Greatest Songs” it would be like this:

1. The Look
2. One wish
3. Neverending love
4. It must have been love
5. Fading like a flower
6. How do you do!
7. Soul deep
8. Joyride
9. Almost unreal
10. Wish I could fly
11. The centre of the heart
12. Sleeping in my car
13. Opportunity nox
14. Milk & Toast & Honey
15. A thing about you
16. Stars
17. You don‘t understand me
18. Crash!Boom!Bang!
19. the second new song
20. Listen to your heart

I like to have a collection in this or another order, because I think it´s boring to get the songs again in the way they were released. We had in on DBU, TBH and TPH. ;-)

This is what I am looking for now:

1. One wish
2. The Look
3. Dressed For Success
4. Listen To Your Heart
5. Dangerous
6. It Must Have Been Love
7. Joyride
8. Fading Like A Flower
9. Spending My Time
10. Almost Unreal
11. Sleeping In My Car
12. Crash! Boom! Bang!
13. Run To You
14. Wish I Could Fly
15. Stars (Almighty Single Version)
16. The Centre of The Heart
17. Milk And Toast And Honey
18. A Thing About You
19. Opportunity Nox
20. Reveal

How Do You Do and You Do’t Understand Me have to go I’m afraid !!!

PART II:

neverending love
i call your name
surrender
chances
cry
hotblooded
do you get excited?
fingertips
the rain
fireworks
i’m sorry
she doesn’t live here anymore
i don’t want to get hurt
waiting for the rain
crush on you
it will take a long long time
pay the price
looking for jane
little miss sorrow
breathe

CATrox, those songs were not hits after all...

I won’t speculate anything. I think that Greatest hits pretty useless when Roxette are releasing rox box which btw includes same songs from greatest hits cd

I hope TGH album won’t have the tracks in chronological order, cuz it’d be really boring
