I would LOVE to see where the last knife, that was thrown by Per, landed! because that thing seems to be going nowhere...just makes the don’t try this at home message so much funnier!!!

She’s just hanging next to Per smiling, watching the shoot.

Super kewl Erwee!
Thomas I never quite imagined Marie to be the hanging type!

Ha ha ha, one is amazed sometimes! My guess is that she’s watching her offspring.
ally77 said on March 20, 2006 18:47:
Yeah she’s keeping an eye on Oskar as he’s in the video shoot as well! :)

which boy is Oscar in the video? The one with the trumpet or the drummer?

What a dorky and uninspired video. Definitely one only for the fans of Roxette/Gessle.
The video cheapens the song. Very un-modern. Very tacky. Very cheap. Dated old non-sense.
Not a good start to the international SOAP campaign. Great song. Lousy cringe worthy video.
There’s no way a video like that will be competitive on the charts. And yes it DOES matter hence there’s a promotional video in the first place. If PG didn’t want chart success, he would’ve released the album with no promo.

Ah, Roxwriter, the person who told us all we couldn’t possibly like the “shockingly-cornball” “Joanna Says,” a top 5 hit in Sweden that sent the SoaP album storming to the top of the charts, while “Hey Mr. DJ” languishes near the bottom of the Top 30. Great to hear from you again! Anyway, I agree that the video doesn’t do much for the song, it’s kind of silly... I can see what the director was trying for but in the end it just looks like a much-less-fun version of “The Big L.”...

plop
i imagined this song´s video like this: a huge ball, love everywhere, gessle flirting with a sweet blonde girl, some martinis, a dancing, some touching, kisses, roses, etc... dont know what else...
hehe... but nope: there´s absolutely no relation between the lyrics and the video! haha... i really think this song needed some more classic approach, i mean... a dj being asked! haha.. gessle and a beauty flirting... a ball... but, hoho, hope this video will work aswell...
:S
greetz!
pd: i think the muscular man sequence sucks... :S

I think no. I think the boy with the red Jacket is Gabriel. The ears an the eyes is how Oscar its not Gabriel.

@roxtexanet
Cheers for the character assessment. Wow Gessle is Top 5 in the Swedish Charts? That’s like Nana Mouskouri being happy about making the Greek Charts.
SOAP is international...so they say. So yes, cornball Jo-Anna Says still has some way to prove itself. Fact.
As for you liking it and me not? That’s opinion. I’ve aired mine you don’t like it, build a bridge.
As for the video? Yeah what a waste of time and money. And hell, I’m a Gessle-fan. But that’s just rubbish.
Now move on...
roxtexanet said on March 22, 2006 03:52:
@Roxwriter: No, I think you missed the point. Not everything Per releases makes a splash - “Opportunity Nox” for example, not to mention the last two GT singles, etc. If “Joanna Says” was as truly awful as you told us all it was (you will recall that the reason you got yourself in trouble with the other members was not because you aired your opinion but because you said arrogant, dismissive things like “”it is refreshing to know that there are others who recognise this track to be the mediocre effort that it is.” But I digress.), “SoaP” would have tanked. It didn’t. In fact, it was the third best selling album in the country for the whole year after just a few weeks, not surprising given that “Joanna Says” was #2 on the combined airplay/sales chart for weeks. “Hey Mr. DJ” - not such a hit, now was it?
Roxwriter said on March 22, 2006 04:35:
I got in trouble from other members? Umm ok? Yes ...now I recall! They sent me to bed with no supper? And now you’re quoting my posts word for word?
Dude, with all due respect.... get a life.
You really seem to have a problem with differing views. Jo-Anna says makes me cringe. It makes you moist. I’m happy for you.
So what do we do now? I know...try moving on with your life...you’ll be so much happier for it :-) Hoorah!

@Roxwriter: Thank you for the character assessment and advice.

Erwee - I guess I’m missing something but where did you see the video? BTW anyone saw Marie in the making off ’DJ’...? Any pix available?
