Where is Marie Dimberg from?

I always presumed she was Swedish, but after watching the Really Roxette documentary and hearing her speak I thought her accent sounded English, or maybe even Australian English and she also mentions in the documentary that she was in Australia when she received a call from Per re Look Sharp!. I know a lot of Swedish people speak near perfect English, so I could be way off the mark.

I don’t think it sounds like Australian English.
To me it’s more like “Cockney” English (excuse me if I wrote this word incorrect) She swallows many letters. Hope you know what I mean...

mm you can still hear a hint of Swedish in her accent, but you can tell there is definitely an English influence there ...her accent is great.

Just one point.
We Aussies don’t actually have an accent. It’s the rest of the world who has it wrong ;-)
So stop speaking in your accents... :-p

Supposedly some people from a certain country in north America have this belief re their accent.

She has a very British accent until she says certain words, then you can hear the Swedish. Swedes tend to hiss their sss a lot.

No sparvoga,
That was just Marie Dimberg just hissing at you as you were walking towards MF for millionth time
;-)

LOL Roxwriter I’ve never even met her hahahhaha! I’ve only seen her on the Really Roxette video. At first I was thinking she must be English, then she said “Hi Per how it’s going” and I knew she wasn’t.

She’s a Swede, but has apparently worked in the UK. She has a great accent.
