I think Per met his wife at a party, I know that they went on a date afterwards and she was really nervous and kept dropping things, so he nicknamed her Woody after Woody Allen and he still calls her that today.

Marie and Micke: Micke went to Australia on a holiday that he’d planned and saved for a long time. He knew some guys in Roxette’s band and went to the show in Sydney to meet them. He and Marie saw each other and it was love at first site. They pretty much got engaged after a few days, then Marie had to continue the tour and Micke had to continue his holiday over in New Zealand. So they rang each other twice a day, morning and evening because of the time difference every day until they could be together again. Marie was pregnant within a year and they married about a year or so after that.

Brent: you are right, they did meet once before when Marie was with Johan Kinde. Don’t know if there were any sparks that time, but at the Sydney Joyride meeting, in Marie’s own words it was: “Love at first site, bang, everything you want.” She also said “I went halfway around the world to find love around the corner.” It’s so sweet. When I went to Sweden I hoped I’d meet a nice Aussie guy so I could say the same thing LOL. (I did meet Aussie guys, but nobody interesting :( )

Yup, it was Sydney. They were only in Sydney for like, 3 days, so he gave her that “Sydney ring” pretty damn fast!!!! And they’ve been together 14 years, married for about 12, have two kids, stuck with each other through cancer, and still seem to be totally crazy about each other. Not bad for a relationship that started as such a whirlwhind engagement!!!
