Yes...I share your last visions...I would agree to maintain a big secret as long as ROXETTE ARE RECORDING A NEW ALBUM. Everyone will bitting nails hehehe.

Roxlad: I should have thought that people would comment to that comment...the less important in my post, since I thought the idea or a Recording Diary was interesting...
But, hey, now that you are asking about that: I think it will be the last one having in mind that NO REAL NEW about the intentions of recording a NEW ROXETTE ALBUM has been made public, neither from Per nor from Marie, EMI or any other Rox-related enterprise.
So, let´s see if there is a real next ROX ALBUM in 2006. My opinion is that NOT (not in 2006, as a part of 20th anniversary). But we will be able to discuss this in several months, not NOW.

Poli just a litle thing, this is what marie said to aftonbladet last november about roxette. (you can read the whole article at this website)
Aftonbladet asks Per and Marie if Roxette will do something together now. Per replies “We haven’t decided yet, no doors are closed. It’s totally up to Marie. I would’ve liked it damned much to work with Marie again though. We’re still young...” Marie tells Aftonbladet “It’ would’ve been great. We’ve already been around the globe a few times, why not make it a few more.”
“I hope this may lead to a new album, or at least a few new songs,” Per adds.
So it seems that maybe they will do something new with roxette.
:o)

Txiqui: Yes, I knew about that. But for example, there is a general agreement here in Spain that the terrorist band ETA will finish their actions...but no true statement has been made public. So I won´t believe anything until the truth aroses clearly...
The same goes for Roxette in my opinion. Ok, there are good vibrations and the general aim for a comeback...but nothing real until now. So, let´s see what happens.

Well, the idea is not really new, we discussed such a diary in the c&c on sonofaplumber.com as well. It certainly would be something nice to be included in the process of making such an album. But on the other hand: If there is a Roxette comeback (and the signs for this are getting clearer if you watch the music scene), it will be made like a big surprise to the world. From zero to top in no time. And then, with a diary and all the stuff around, it would not be that Big Bang anymore cos the tension cannot be held on a high level for such a long time. Maybe, making a secret out of it is already part of the current marketing strategy? ;-) Hope I could transmit what I mean...
Txiqui said on February 27, 2006 16:35:
Well i agree with you thenicekai, i guess that if they do something new we won’t know it until the day it comes out.
Somehow its a way of keeping pressure away from them, if they keep a diary, they have to keep everything as it was planned since the begging, meanwhile if noone knows they are free to do what they want whenever they want.

actually the idea sounds good, but it does NOT sound good in my ears that it might be the last ROXETTE album ! It makes me sad ! I don’t want that ! :-((( I don’t give up my hopes and dreams I dreamed about having them by my side for the rest of my life !! Never wanna miss them !
thenicekai said on February 27, 2006 17:56:
bunny2, calm down. Noone said anything. Much ado about nothing. There will of course be a time when Roxette will not exist anymore. And life will go on, be surprised or not... ;-)

the title of the subject shocked me at the first impression i though “someone really have some very good information”, but....
agree with thenicekai, and think that if they are really doing something, of course they are keeping it secretly, taking the time as it goes (better, no pressure, no rush). So i think we have to be patient BUT letting them to know that people are starving for new Rox material.
The idea of a diary would be awesome, and that be included in some dvd or stuff like that (for the aniversary) anything can happen.
...Jag vill känna tro...

Comparing Roxette’s future with ETA’s end is bizarre, to say the least. Comparing the future of a band that makes music with a band that kills people is.. well, *sigh*
Txiqui said on February 27, 2006 21:23:
Poli, you can compare roxette with whatever you want but never with a terrorist band that is destoying our country, and killing inoncent people. I can undestand what you mean but please don’t ever use eta as an example, couse that band doesn’t deserve to be mention.
PolicarpoAroca said on February 27, 2006 23:24:
Obviously, I am not comparing a terrorist bandwith a band of pop. I was just referring the process of diseminating information: when and what.
But ok, perhaps the example was not accurate. Sorry.

@Poli.... sorry if I went off-topic.... I didn’t mean to be sarcastic :P I was mistaken by the words ’so it seems that...’ which I interpretated as ’I have read or heard that.... and so....’ rather than ’I think.... or in my opinion....’. Perdono!
By the way.... I like the idea...

There several bands who have a comeback! after many years like A-ha, Depeche Mode, Metallica.
Otherwise he bigins a new band with Helena she sings great to!

I think Roxette won’t give us much info before something is ready. They certainly don’t want too much pressure from fans and media. But that doesn’t speak against a nice documentary along the preparations for Roxette’s comeback! Like “Making of Joyride” or “Mazarin blir til”. To be released with or after the album.
harriej said on February 28, 2006 20:58:
Not a good idea.
Give them the time to create a good album without all those camera’s always around.
It does not make it more spontaneous.
Besides that: all the surprise is gone if you can follow what they are doing.
And let’s hope there are more albums to follow

Ok people. So it seems that next Roxette album will be the last. Therefore, I think we should take the most of it. Why not enjoying more the whole-recording proccess? I am thinking in what The Cardigans did in their last album...they had an entire web with photographs, comments about how they were recording the album, the work with the producers and so on.
This could be interesting for Roxette, since a recording session with Marie and Per takes so long...at least one year.
Why do you think about it? Should we propose the idea to Per?
