On my way to Europe (and Sweden)!

At last! This year I’ll be finally making true this long-waited dream: To travel to Europe on vacation.
I’ll be there on May, and the main destinations will be Spain and Sweden. In Spain I got some good friends, so I have already made plans with more detail about how to spend the time there.
As regards Sweden, I’m full of expectations. I’ve been learning Swedish for almost 4 years now... on and off, and not always with the same responsability on my side... but well, I suppose I’ll be able to understand and make others understand me.
I’m going to stay in Stockholm for about a week, and I expect to spend another 4 or 5 days between Göteborg and maybe Malmö. I know it’s not much time... but I have only a month, and I’d love to visit some other countries/cities too (maybe Paris, maybe Rome... who knows...)
What do you think? What would be a good plan for spend this 10 or 12 days in Sweden? Which places I shouldn’t miss? Do you have any hostels to recommend (specially in Stockholm)? I’ve found a few in internet, but I don’t have a preference... all look the same.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

LOL! I think you didn’t! :)
Thanks ally. I’ll check that info. Specially the first group of links.
As regards the hostels, I’ve been to most of those websites before... but it’s hard to decide with only a couple of photos.
If anyone have been to any of those hostels, I’d like to here your experiences... you know, thinks like “It was fun!”, “It was noisy!”, “I think XXX is the best because is near to YYY”, etc.
Thanks!

if its your cup of tea and are travelling on a budget then look at this website
its a way of staying for free in each country you visit and meeting lots of different people...
i cannot say enough good things about this site as it is enabling me to travel for 10 months instead of 1!

When choosing hostels, I often decide after its location and access to public transport. I really recommend the YHA hostels. You need a membership but they have a really good standard and I have never been let down.
Enjoy your trip!

Enjoy your trip, may I suggest that you visit Paris. If only for two days at the very minimum. It is simply the most amazing city. Perhaps if you cannot find the time or budget to fit in Paris, you may want to visit Copenhagen. I have backpacked around Europe and the YHA/HI Hostels are the best. You can pre-book as well. Contact the Hostelling International Association in your country to buy your pass before you go.
