VCD of "Don't Bore Us - Get To The Chorus"

Hello people:
I’ve seen this item a couple of times, and I wonder if it’s real or not (a bootleg). It’s a double VCD set, with all the videos that were released in the VHS version. I don’t know much about this, VCD was never a popular format.
Can you tell me this is real or not? Is it rare? Where was it released?
Thank you very much.

it’s official, also it is mentioned on The look for Roxette. Made in UK.

Is it rare or not at all? Do you know how many stars it has in the book?

1st question: Can we consider this item is rare or not?
2nd question: I’d like to know if those CD’s still work in modern computers and DVD players. It was released in 1995, I don’t it’s compatible with modern technology. Maybe someone that have this item (like Vixzter) can bring some light about this. Well, we already have all those videos in DVD collections, but I wanna know anyway.
I’ve seen this item in auction a couple of times before, and I was close to bid on. But, as you see, I had many doubts, so I didn’t.
I am asking so much, because I think it’s a nice item and maybe I will get it someday ;o)

Doesn’t work in my dvd player, doesn’t work in my cd drive, but my dvd drive seems to be able to read it and play it. (under protest, but this could be due to processor and memory on my pc)
Actualy says on the discs ’This title can only be played on players with Mpeg capability’ my dvd player doesn’t have that.
I brought it for my collection I already had the ’Don’t Bore Us....’ videos so didn’t need it for the watchable purposes.

CD1 doesn’t work on mine, CD2 plays fine. The quality is really bad, very pixelated. This is mpeg1, not 2, like on DVDs.

Lol!!! I have also problems with CD1... So is there any cd1 that works? :p

After reading all these replies, I think I won’t get it, LOL. By the way, all the videos are already available on DVD. I guess this VCD was good back in 1995, but the quality must be awful according the standars of today.

its pointless getting it if all you want to do is watch the videos, its only worth having if you are a collector and have to collect everything they ever did and more
Room_service said on January 7, 2006 16:31:
Well, I use to collect CD’s and DVD’s. I saw this item once and thought it was nice. Maybe it’s a collectable, but I don’t wanna buy something that’s totally useless, just to put it in a shelf to gather dust. I’ll spend my money in something better, hehe.

This VCD is probably badly pressed because all DVD players should be able to read VCD’s. MPEG1 VCD’s are about the same quality of VHS. Probably the only reason to have this cd is to have a digital and original version of It Must Have Been Love without the Pretty Woman scenes. If I remember well on the VHS (and I guess on the VCD too) the video is without the movie scenes while the DVD version has it.
Room_service said on January 8, 2006 00:31:
Yes, maybe you are right. The problem is disc 1 doesn’t work very well, apparently. And that video is on disc 1. I already got the Almost Unreal video without the Super Mario scenes. I am also looking for It Must Have Been Love with no Julia Roberts in sight.
By the way, Roxlad: do you have an email or MSN? No info in your profile.

I found this at a HMV a few weeks ago in Melbourne i think it was. Was thinking about getting it, but decided not to as it’s all on the AVEM DVD. Didn’t even think about the fact that IMHBL and Almost Unreal weren’t the movie versions, otherwise i would’ve got it.
I still think they should’ve put both versions on the DVD’s, but thats another thing to complain about...

I cant play it
it only appears some textfiles when I put it into my computer
thanks Vix for a quick deal

Windows Media Player should be able to play the files. From memory they should be something like AVISEQ01.DAT. Open them in media player and see how you go.
