How many hours of sleep do u need?

Guess the subject says it all :)

I can function on 5-6 hours of sleep daily. Sometimes I don’t sleep for more than 30 hours (work and stuff) but I guess that’s not the case with everyone right?

Actually I need 9 or 10 hours but i can afford it only on weekends. On the rest of days I usually sleep around 6 hours grrrrrrr

since i don’t have a job now, I can sleep more than 8 hours. but the problems is I can be able to sleep after midnight, even when I woke up so early.

To feel nice and normal, at least 10... to 12. :/ I love sleeping. That’s really not good, trust me...

i adore to sleep also, so does my dog LOL
some friends i know only sleep about 4 -6 hours a night, so when i stay at there house they sleep not at all and they think im strange lol.

8.5 hours would be perfect but nowadays I only get 7 to 8 hours a night. Well, now I don’t have to go to uni for the rest of the year, I hope I can sleep a bit more ;)

because iw rk nights 8-10 hrs I used to go on about 5 1/2 when i was in college

On work days I play the old person and am normally now in bed for 10pm as I am up at 6am!

8 is what I make sure I get usually. But I agree, more is better - especially WEEKENDS!!!!!!! :)

average night around 9 or 10 hours. but then i sleep quite a bit in the day too, through the afternoon etc. I sleep a lot, but still I always manage to be sleepy anyway!

I´m lazy so 8-11 hours.

I think I had sleep paralysis (maybe, I am not sure) because of not sleeping enough. anyone has it too?

I seem to get by okay with 6-7 hours asleep during the week, possibly 8 at the weekend. I’ve never been one for staying in bed all morning, unless the hangover is THAT bad!!

At least 8 PLEASE. But 10 would be heaven sent :D

But i wish i wishhh i could manage on 4 or so. I’d be able to do so much more!

@ TB : yes, it’s pretty scary.
the worst I ever had I think was two years ago. I was asleep and have a dream. the weird thing was, in my dream I was asleep too! and there were times I wanted to wake up, but something in that dream kept me to stay asleep, then between sleep and awake, I had to crawl in the bathroom so I can pour a cold water on my face to stay awake, also there were times I have to set my alarm to ring every 5 min, so I can keep wake up.
Sometimes there were some people in my dream too that try to KEPT me asleep, because everytime I tried to wake up, I kept falling asleep and MET them.
Then I talk to some people bout it, they said thats because I am not in healthy condition and so much stress at work. so I try to take vitamins and try my best not to have lots of stress. and it seemed work. then few days ago, my BF found that article that seemed explain the condition I ever had.

I need 8 to make me feell normal, but with 4 kids I never seem to get it, lol

7-8 hours........I remember reading once that Marie can function on 5 hours.....yikes!

At least 8... but is not easy for me to sleep, I sleep 30 minutes and I wake up and like this all the night... Sometimes I look like a zombie.

Studies says that you need 7,33 hours sleep, than you are not too sleepie cause you haven´t slept too much ore too little.
I think thats makes sens. But I don´t fallow it at all....

At least 6 hours, but in my case sleeping hours that long is seldom done because of my job.

Debora, that’s kinda like the thing that is happening to me lately. It is toooo annoying. I am having those sleeps when y’know you are half asleep but half awake, where you ’know’ what’s happening around you but yet u feel like as if u r sleeping. VERY annoying. I feel so drunk right now. GOD it’s annoying!

hmmm, zee, i am always like that for the first hour I am in bed. I always have too much I am thinking of to go to sleep, so I have to work through all that first before I get to sleep. it’s a good idea to write things down though when you are in that state, sleepy ramblings often make good poetry :P
