forgive me for being ignorant

but I have read that “Inganakee leo yo” in fact has no meaning but was simply used to remember melody and cos it sounded cool, but i am not convinced. it looks remotely spanish to me tho i could be way off. mabe even japanese. any ideas?

It means nothing! I saw a TV show with Roxette and could call an ask questinons and some one askt what it means. And Per said that it mean nothing!

I can assure you is not Spanish. “leo yo” in Spanish could mean “I read”, written backwards (so, it is “yo leo”).
But “k” is very rare in Spanish, words finishing in -e are not very common (accented -é is more common, since some verb forms finish that way) and the group “ee” is almost as weird as the “k”.
So don’t worry, doesn’t mean a thing.

Unless it’s Sámi.

wasn’t it a kind of mantra?

That is what I thought!

Same here.

i know Inganakee is definitely not Spanish (thats why i thought maybe Japanese or something) but “leo yo” looked and sounded Spanish to me.

wat are Sámi and mantra?
