@zlatyvoci: exactly my point of view.....

You guys that can get the album today or wednesday are real lucky. Enjoy it!! :-)
As for me who live in the US and many others, will have to wait until at least next week to get the album by mail since we had to import it.
It will be a hellish waiting period. Crazy, crazy!!!
Take care!

Jackeill said on November 21, 2005 18:11:
so RIP IT and UPLOAD IT somewhere! i’ve got to wait to get my copy, and god only knows how long!!
tevensso (moderator) said on November 21, 2005 18:41:
I disagree. I think this is among his best work ever, but I’ll put that into my review. :)
Roxrider_USA said on November 21, 2005 19:04:
@Tevensso: I like them too. I guess that for those who wanted something mature from Per, that’s the album they were asking for.
Take care!
Carlos E., New York.
Jackeill said on November 21, 2005 19:09:
@tev: maybe, but i’m expecting powerpop, just like twatg. i don’t need another mazarin, another semi-acoustic album with short and soft songs.
soap appears to be like that though ;/
carbon_boy said on November 21, 2005 19:28:
@Roxrider & Tev: “Mature”? Did i read correctly?! I’m soooooo happy!!!! AAAAAHHH!!!!! Finally!!!!
I’ve got such a good feeling about this.... oooh, just another week to go. Can’t wait!!!
:o)
zlatyvoci said on November 21, 2005 19:32:
Yeah, it´s a mature album, I actually found it sounding a bit FRENCH? not just by words, but music...mainly those instrumentals....as I said, I miss distorted guitars, straight drums, modernd synths...energy....as a jazz-country-pop-chanson album it is brilliant, but as a power-pop album it´s a flop....and per got famous mainly because of power pop, remember?
Roxrider_USA said on November 21, 2005 20:01:
@carbon_boy: Yep. That’s the impression i got by listening to the “missing parts” files on eMule. :-)
Take care!
Carlos E., New York.
colinvdbel (moderator) said on November 21, 2005 20:33:
It’s original, mature, smooth....and indeed they sing a bit of french in the last song :)
Check out the review later ;)
Roxrider_USA said on November 21, 2005 21:13:
No one! lol Not even fellow fans.
I guess i’ll have to find a way to sleep from tonight until next week when my album import arrives.
Take care!

Grasi said on November 22, 2005 22:02:
“Hej mr dj” is really beautiful. It could have perfectly been a Roxette song... I wish it was Marie singing on it... (don´t like Helena´s voice at all!!)
“I have a party in my head” is very cool!! It sounds very “Gessle” from his first solo albums.
Sire74 said on November 23, 2005 01:07:
I agree with you, Grasi! I can’t stand Helenas voice and the Song would be perfect with Maries voice!!!!
tinytim said on November 23, 2005 01:17:
what’s the matter? leave energy, ’pop’ and etc to roxette.
just what i expected...way to go, per!
Rox-Van said on November 23, 2005 01:22:
I Have A Party In My Head (I Hope It Never Ends) ... I like to much :/ ;)
NinaP said on November 23, 2005 01:22:
I didn´t get to listen to the full songs, but I have to say I think this album sounds surprisingly beautiful...a very well produced album.
Most of the lyrics are still very Gessle-ish though.
NinaP said on November 23, 2005 01:29:
I don´t really get why people are getting so “negatively surprised” now. I mean...this wasn´t supposed to be an exclusively “power pop” oriented album, was it?
Well, at least Per made this quite clear from the start...
Jackeill said on November 23, 2005 10:34:
swedish press didn’t like the album, am i right? [aftonbladed 2/5 i sydsvenskan 2/5 gp 4/5 hallandsposten 2/5]
i don’t like it also...
Jackeill said on November 23, 2005 10:37:
NinaP: but it wasn’t supposed to be an acoustic ballad album too!
Roxrider_USA said on November 23, 2005 16:53:
Hey!
Yes, i remember you. I have e-mailed you.
Take care!
Carlos E., New York.
on_a_mission said on November 25, 2005 22:55:
I’m sceptical about the album too. Its a bit mediocre, I mean many things that I’ve just come to expect from Per. A couple of gems though: ’Party in my head’ for example.
qrox said on November 26, 2005 00:09:
May I leave my review here?
ok, thanks, here it goes:
Drowning in wonderful... :
One of the best of the album. A great start!!! Hurray yeaaaaahhhh!!! I just love it!!!!!!
Jo-anna says:
Well, it’s great, but now I feel it doesn’t fit in the album. Strange, but it’s a very gesslish song, and the album is not gesslish for sure...
I have a party in my head...:
I can’t believe what I hear!!! It sound like music from Peru!!! I imagine per in the Andes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andes) with a wool hat and a wool poncho (a “poncho” is a garment used in latin america -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poncho-). I love this song, a very strange one. I think that is what I most like about it. sound like Indiansommar.
C’mon:
Again, this song doesn’t seem to fit in the album... Maybe that’s why per chose C’mon and Jo-anna as firt singles.
Week with four thursdays:
Don’t ask me why, but when I listen to this song I imagine a week with four thursdays. The title suits the song perfectly, couldn’t be named other way. A very lazy song... I like very much.
Hey Mr DJ:
I love it!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s soooooooo sweet... A magistrar job performed by Helena. When this song will be released as a single, I’m affraid that people think that per doesn’t sing with Marie anymore... Great duet! One of my favourites. I love the chorus... It sounds like a song from Heartland Cafe. It would fit there...
Late, later on:
The first time I heard this song, I didn’t like it. That made me very sad, never happened before... But now I like it, I don’t know what happened... Maybe it’s because it a very slow song, a song that ends just like it starts, with nothing special... the more I listen to it, the more I like it, and I’m glad for that!! At the end, helena makes the song sound like an arabian song... strange. The begining is very like the Heartland Cafe beginning!!!
Ronnie Lane:
Nice song. There’s nothing special about it, but it’s nice as a prelude to the Junior Suite. I like helena’s voice here.
Are you an old hippie sir?:
Yea!!!!!!!! The lyrics say nothing at all and I love it!!!!!!!!! One of the most weird songs ever heard!! I love it!!!
bababababaaaaa bababababaaaaa.... I love Per’s “oh oh”.
Double-heade elvis:
As with “Late, later on”, I didn’t like it the first time I heard it and I still don’t like it very much, I hope I change my mind... I don’t understand/like the lyrics.
Something in the system:
Nice song, it doesn’t fit in the album, but because it’s one of the Junior Suite, you can’t notice that...
Speed boat to Cuba:
I love it!!!!!! It’s amazing!!!!!! Very good one!!!!! It’s nice the jo-anna detail...
It reminds me the Per’s garage songs... don’t know why.
Come back tomorrow:
Well, what can I say?? It’s perfect. For obvious reasons reminds me GT, and I like that!!
Kurt:
Nice begining for the 2nd LP. An Indiansommar remake.
INQGOTFBBU (don’t expect me to write the whole title...) The title doesn’t go with the music!!! Strange. Very nice song although... Helena’s voice reminds me the song that was sung by little girls in “A nightmare in Elm Street” (hehe, it’s true, she’s evil!!!). I love the part of C’mon...
Substitute:
OHhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutelty perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The chorus has an huge force, huge intensity, I can’t find the right word, but you know what I mean. It’s a shame that the chorus is that short!!! It leaves me with .... Oh, damn, I can’t find the right word again... What I mean is I want more!!!! It’s not enough... I can’t stop singing the chorus... (you’re lucky you can’t hear me :) Very nice lyrics!!!! I love the harp!!! I want to hear this song perfomed live!!!!!!!!! It will be amazing!!!!!!
Did you noticed the bababababaaaaa bababababaaaaa....??
Waltz for woody:
Nice song, it’s like a pause that’s not needed. It stops the album rythm... It’s very like Varmt Igen isn’t it??
Carousel:
Nananananananaaaaa... I like the echoes of helena!!! This song sounds like a carousel, once the song starts it seems that never ends and start again with the Nananananananaaaaa... Very nice song, love it!!!
I like it like that:
Oh my!!!!! The perfect match to Substitute!!!! This is a song meant to be played in the US radios!!!! It’s gonna be an instant hit!!!! One of my favourites. It’s so sweet, I imagine this song with marie chorus... This song makes me feel the same thing I felt when I heard “Tycker Om När Du Tar På Mig” for first time... this song makes my heart sing, is filled with so much feeling...
Something happened today:
Sounds like a per demo. For obvious reasons it reminds me northern Sweden. I was never there, but I can imagine...
Really good the “but hey...”. Very good lyrics...
Pam pam pom, pam pam pom... I love those pams and poms of helena.
Brillant carrer:
A very lazy song... IMHO it’s the soundtrack of the pictures of the album. I mean, when I see the picture of everybody around the table, the cake, and all that stuff, I imagine this song, sounds like a picnic...
Burned out heart:
Very nice song. My favourite part is the one that says the song name. It’s perfect!!!! I like so much that I changed my SOAP forums signature!!! The begining is just like a Grape Rock demo!!! I don’t know wich one... Syndafloden maybe... I have to give them a hear to remember. The part where the electric guitar starts playing, is an obvious influence of Christoffer (it’s so Brainpool-ish).
Drowning in wonderful... :
The same that the other DIWTAH. It’s nice to hear it again!! Nice detail the rewinding cassette sound.
Hurray yeahhhhhh!!!!
Making love or expecting rain:
It’s not one of my favourites. I don’t see why everybody likes it... Maybe there’s something I haven’t found yet...
Jo-anna says:
I don’t like it as an ending. Just that.
Well, that’s all. The album in general deserves a 9.98 of 10. I think the more I listen to it the more i like it, so my opinion my change in time (for good, of course).
What do you think about it?
Jud (moderator) said on November 26, 2005 00:22:
have listened to it only a couple of times (train/plane - but fell asleep in between..), will listen to it properly with the hi-fi, now that I’m home.. but I haven’t changed my mind about Helena’s voice, I still cannot stand it, to me, she sings way out of tune :S - I think that’s the worse of the album.
Roxrider_USA said on November 26, 2005 01:16:
I like It Like That, is really cool. Just deep and powerful and still so full of that feeling of hope. I probably listend to it more than 50 times already.
I agree with Qrox about everthing he says about the song. The good thing is that it is supposed to be one of the next singles. Hopefully, Per/EMI will stick to that sleeve note. Also, if the album gets released in the US, “I Like It Like That” must be one of the singles too. That’d be just perfect!!!
I give SOAP 8/10. Overall the album is really nice!1
Take care!
Carlos E., New York.

Am I the only one who likes Double-Headed Elvis? Btw, my faves are: Jo-anna Says, Hey Mr. DJ, the whole Junior Suite, I never quite got over... and I like it like that.
On the other hand, i always skip Late Later On and Ronnie Lane.
Rox1_4ever said on November 26, 2005 10:29:
I love Double-Headed Elvis...it is so cool!! I love the whole album. “The juinior suite” is great...
zlatyvoci said on November 27, 2005 20:21:
Hi boyz and girlz :) I have to say something, when I got the non-silenced version and listened to it 20 times around, I have to say, I got absolutely mad about Mister DJ, I don´t remember to hear such a wonderful song in my life....I love Helena´s voice as well, it is strange, but I don´t miss Marie in here....Of course I still think, that there are really weak places at the whole cd, but this song beats everything, I´ve ever heard from Per and anybody else.... It got me.........
qrox said on December 1, 2005 15:38:
Something happened yesterday... (no, really, something happened :)
As I said, I didn’t like very much D-HE, but yesterday I found myself singing it!!! It’s amazing, I like it now, I don’t understand how this could happen.
I really like it now, it fits perfectly in the junior suite.
ncurran said on December 1, 2005 16:26:
Double headed elvis makes me want to puke, but on the whole its a pretty solid album. I think there are some fantastic songs, but also quite a few stinkers. He should have taken 7 or 8 of the tracks out and made the album shorter.
zlatyvoci said on November 21, 2005 17:28:
Hi, I´ve just got the soap album, listened it and i´ve very strange feelings....It is damn good from technical way, of course, but it´s not good old per...I miss so much his easy pop tunes, energy, smile....I have to say, that fff was, from my point of look, far better...I´m also active musician, it hurts me so much to write this....
