Son of a plumber, so far
tevensso said on October 25, 2005 09:50:
Here’s what we know so far:
* Drowning in Wonderful Thoughts About Her - “Probably the first track of the album”.
* I Have a Party in My Head (I Hope it Never Ends)
* C’mon - “is a glam rock guitar driven 3-chord singalong chorus type of song i sing with my sweetets high pitched falsetto voice. i guess it’s not the most “obvious” song on the record but i like it to be the first people get to hear (together with jo-anna says) because it sounds different from what you expect..... i think....”
* Jo-Anna Says
* Hey Mr DJ (Won’t You Play Another Love Song) - “A country duet with Helena. Sounds like something from the CBS label.”
* Are You An Old Hippie, Sir? (part of the medley)
* I Never Quite Got Over the Fact that the Beatles Broke Up - “This one makes you happy, possibly an album closer, we have a few.”
* Substitute (For the Real Deal)
* Making Love Or Expecting Rain - “It is a line from a Bob Dylan song, no need to speculate guys!”
* Keep the Radio On (This is the Perfect Song) - “A newly recorded version taken from The Lonely Boys’ album.”
* Brilliant Career
* Kurt - The Fastest Plumber in the West

available in the following versions:
-double cd
-double cd, digipack
-double vinyl
Sascha said on October 25, 2005 11:42:
* digipack will have more photos than jewelcase. Per recomments this version (for cd).
* running time will be around 2 x 30 min.
roxtexanet said on October 25, 2005 15:20:
And of course that the double vinyl will have a bonus track (yay!).
roxtexanet said on October 25, 2005 16:43:
Oh! They just updated the site with a picture of the back of the CD (the tracklisting), but with only “C’mon” shown!
So now we can add...
There are 13 songs on Disc 1 and 11 on Disc 2...
“C’mon” is track 4 on Disc 1
Track 8 on Disc 1 is a super-long title...
This is a cool idea, we get the name of one track on the album every day for the next 24 days, so it’s a countdown AND a reveal. Nice!
Starrox said on October 25, 2005 17:36:
Now the question should be - countdown to what? It’s not the album release, that’s for sure...
roxtexanet said on October 25, 2005 18:27:
Hmmm.... it could be a countdown to the album release if they take weekends off... (-;
roxgirl_germany said on October 25, 2005 18:40:
C’mon/Jo-Anna says first single, double A-side
release date single: 9 November
radio airplay single: 7 November
release date album: 23 November
mbatalla said on October 25, 2005 22:20:
I think is a little bit silly to do a countdown to get the tracklist. What will CDON show on their website to sell the CD? Uknown tracklisting???
LoneGunman said on October 26, 2005 01:16:
About “Jo-Anna Says”... is it a ballad or a uptempo song ? Anyone knows ?
erweetiran said on October 26, 2005 10:05:
Why don’t dailyroxette have the news of this back cover story?
No new news today?
I just wish they would get a move on now, cause really, they are treating this like a military operation!
japeke said on October 26, 2005 11:20:
its getting on my nerves, but I like the way they handle this project :D
tevensso (moderator) said on October 26, 2005 12:20:
Seriously, what is there TDR can write about? We have already published 10 titles here.
Jud (moderator) said on October 26, 2005 12:24:
and have written about the site (forum, Q&A).. I don’t think we have to write an article with 2 lines every time the site is updated *.. your job is to check it out! ;)
* If we did we would get people complaining that we write such short articles only to have Per “on top of the frontpage” and that we write too much about Per anyway...
erweetiran said on October 26, 2005 13:01:
Don’t worry will take ages for me to explain my point and even then it wil be an pointless exercise
Cheers
ATLTK said on October 26, 2005 13:23:
I agree with jud they cant publish every new “word” the best is to check the SOAP site too
keep on the good work guys
japeke said on October 26, 2005 13:44:
Edited/deleted my opinion: The one I reacted at edited his reaction, so my opinion would look a bit strange now....

Goes to look at the soap site... not been there for a few days!
japeke said on October 26, 2005 13:54:
and btw, you can use this discussion for the too small news-snippets you find :)
mbatalla said on October 26, 2005 14:04:
@erweetiran: I think that another song title is not a real new. If you check TDR daily you can see that titles posted some days ago... And people who make this website have other jobs, and other lifes... I guess this website is a hobby, so you and all of us have to be happy for having such a kind people...
Max-Tob said on October 27, 2005 11:35:
“jo-anna says” must be the slow one...even though “c’mon” is sung with falsetto voice...hm...what do you think? since Per said he likes “jo-anna...” and in the past few years I’ve noticed he tended to like the slower ones better than the up-tempo, I will go for “jo-anna says” being slower, not really a “ballad”, but mid-tempo at least...
carbon_boy said on October 27, 2005 13:03:
The SOAP.com home page has been updated again....
A : 02. Jo-Anna Says
B : 03. Substitute (For the real deal)

In his answers tonight Per wrote a new title as well “Brilliant Career” as one of his favs from the coming album, along with “I Have a Party in My Head”.
(in the post answered: 2005-10-27 18:54:00)
crashroxer said on October 27, 2005 20:11:
He answered again...
One person has asked more than 10 times...
roxgirl_germany said on October 27, 2005 20:27:
That was not a question, that was an interview (as Per himself was surprised to find out *g*). ;)
Max-Tob said on October 28, 2005 07:13:
“Something in the system”...Up-tempo? It looks like one. But it might just as well be a trap...lol
about the q&a: well, I guess he tries to answer all the questions, good ones and bad ones, he doesn’t pick them. I’ve seen lots of stupid q’s getting answers and on the other hand I know people that asked real great q’s but didn’t get answers...by now. I do hope he won’t get tired answering the stupid ones and then, in an end, not feeling like answering all the rest anymore...But the idea of doing this q&a is of course very useful not only fun. All my work colleagues are checking it even though they’re not fans of coruse. They find it great...one can get a picture about Per’s work and personality...If the questions are great, the answers are even greater...That’s priceless in terms of information...The site goes five stars just like that with a section like this...Even the non-fans got interested in it.

tried to write up the words, here’s update for the joanna says [correct me if i’m wrong!]
Jo-anna says I’m not the only one
Jo-anna says I never be the one
But when she smiles there’s something in her eyes
That tells me I’m not like the other guys
Jo-anna says..... I have to give her time
Jo-anna says..... Just gonna make up my mind
Jo-anna says..... I have to wait in a line
And come back tomorrow.....
> What a wonderful song!!!!

Hey!
I believe it’s:
Joanna says; I’m not the only one
Joanna says; I’ll never be the one
But when she smiles there’s something in her eyes
That tells me I’m not like the other guys
Joanna says; I have to give her time
Joanna says; you just gonna make up my mind
Joanna says; I have to wait in the line
And come back tomorrow.....
Any suggestions?
Take care!

OK, here is my try.
Jo-Anna says I’m not the only one
Jo-Anna says I’d never be the one
But when she smiles there’s something in her eyes
That tells me I’m not like the other guys
Jo-Anna says I have to give it time
Jo-Anna says you just gotta make up her mind
Jo-Anna says I have to wait in the line
And come back tomorrow
Room_service said on October 29, 2005 08:25:
I don’t like these songs, they are too repetitive. And the lyrics are always about the same. Gessle should try and give us something *really* new. That cliché of “there’s something in her eyes” is too much worn and old!
tevensso (moderator) said on October 29, 2005 09:00:
Some are never pleased, that’s all I can say. :)
Jud (moderator) said on October 29, 2005 09:13:
Jo-Anna is sweet and cute 60ies beatles *yay*
C’mon.. I thought I’d hate it because Per sings falsetto.. but the music /rythm is great- I guess it makes up for it ;)
Jackeill said on October 29, 2005 10:47:
i dont know why, but i love this falsetto. i guess, that’s the only song on the album in such style - more wouldn’t be so cool, i think.

i can’t find words to describe these songs - now i’m feeling strange and happy.... love them, indeed!!
Jackeill said on November 1, 2005 13:18:
btw. don’t you have that feeling that chorus in joanna is to loud?
i wish that album version would be mastered better...
tevensso (moderator) said on November 1, 2005 14:52:
I could never judge that from a crappy mp3 snippet.
Jackeill said on November 1, 2005 15:00:
@tev: i opened the file in sound editor. chorus is 1.4x louder than verse.
soon, we shall see how it is really... :)

Cool! Cover revealed on TDR today!
about the tracklist: on cdon.com they mention joanna says farewell as last song, on tdr this one isn’t mentioned!
Rox-Van said on November 2, 2005 15:04:
