live 8 best and worst performances ?

iv been watching and to my suprise i have really really enjoyed, i just wondered what everyone else thought was the best and worst performances they have seen ? iv been watching them all flicking the channels lol

worst for me,

1st , elton john & pete dot.. - just bad.
2st U2 and paul macartney ! - there vocals were so wrong togeather
3rd miss dynimite- i though she was rude !

best
1st madonna was FANTASTIC , huge suprise , the really MEGA sad film shown before and that little girl that was just about dead from the pic on the original live aid and to be shown alive and so beautiful , then madonna singing like a prayer had the whole room i was in filling up :-(
2nd annie lennox, such a beautiful soul was lovely , the rock into ’little bird’ was great.
3rd keane just sang brilliant live, great.

BEST: Pet Shop Boys, Mariah, Linkin Park. I missed a-ha and Duran2.
Mariah: you could almost see her panties :) her skirt was so mini :)

WORST: P.Diddy, mega yuk.

ye pet shop boys were good.

Worst: Juli, Elton John, Craig David

Best: Robbie Williams, Bon Jovi, Green Day

Unfortunately I missed Madonna and Sheryl Crow! :((

God to admit I enjoyed it a lot.... I thought Madonna was good live and I am not really a fan but she was gr8!

Keane & Paul M with U2 was good too! :)

Worst: Mariah Carey
Best: Robbie Williams and Paul McCartney.

I really enjoyed U2, Dido and Pink Floyd.

The duet by Dido & Youssou N’Dour was great! (7 seconds)

Best: Will Smith, The Who, Joss was pretty good. Robbie Williams of course rocked the house. Scissor sisters/Sting were brilliant.

Worst: A-ha, i’m sorry to say. I am still a big fan, but A-ha live just didn’t seem to work, at least in Live8.

I missed the Keane performance :(

Scissor sisters new song they did , sounded great :-D

From what i‘ve seen of it:
Best: -u2 beautiful day
-Robbie Williams; not a fan but i have to say he knows how to please an audience.

Special mention: Paul McCartney, the man is a model for the others, a legend... It shows that he loves to perform...

Worst: I have to say A-ha... My god, the man (Morten) has not change physically since 15 years, but his voice sure have... It look like a singer in a karaoke bar; they should have chosen another song that has not such hight notes (he wasn‘t able to sing one of them correctly...) Very deceiving...

i haven’t seen much of the London one since i was in Paris and the worst ones there were:
Tina Arena, Craig David (horrible Beatles cover!) and a ginger haired woman whose name i don’t know.

the best were Placebo !!!, the Cure (they came back on stage for a 2nd time :), Raphael, Louis Bertignac and Muse.

unfortunately Indochine didn’t perform, they would have been among the best ones too.

Did you see Sheryl Crow? Did she show up?

best: bon jovi(of course these guys rules in such places)u2(live aid! that’s where they come from)
coldplay(even if the voice of martin is better on albums)madonna...yeah like a prayer!!

worst: celine dion( come on you couldn’T move from las vegas to sing some Fu@##where...im from quebec and she always say that she miss quebec...with money she got..she could come way much often...its like if she were only true by satelite..like the movie SImone..oh enought but i want your comments)...

anyway...I wished to see Rox there...i could have been great if the would have sing songs such as IMHBL, LOVE IS ALL(yeah perfect for this..with a gospel chores)the look...still a songs for arena...
but you know...marie and all of this...but imagination still lives in me...

I am hoping they release a DVD of it, or parts of it, because I know it’s something I would buy... I was not intrested in Live 8 till I saw some of it on Saturday, and I did enjoy it!

ow love is all (with a gospel choir ) would of just been so fitting :-D

What was the coverage like elsewhere? Did you get live coverage of most all the bands?

It was spotty in the US and frustrating because I never got the see some of the bands listed, and saw some of the clips twice (like Bon Jovi and Madonna—instead of showing who was on stage at that moment, they ran them again).

The best ones: Pink Floyd, Green Day, Paul McCartney, REM, Madonna, Annie Lennox and Sting.

The worst ones: Shakira, Mariah Carey and Good Charlotte.

@ rox-kuryliw, yup your right, would have been a cracking song...
