Live 8 : Where is Roxette?!

I think Roxette could and should be at Live 8!
Could: most artist just play 15 minutes. That makes 3 songs. Won’t be a problem for Roxette to entertain EVERYBODY for 15 minutes. They’ve got plenty songs that will rock the world!
Should: they are always supporting Amnesty International. Somehow they try to make a statement. But when the pop- and rockstars of the world gather to make a worldwide statement, Roxette is nowhere to be seen...

apart from the marie situation, I don’t think they’d fit well really. They’ve never really been an ’issues’ band. So, personally, I think it would just be foolish.

i think live 8 is a good idea, it about bring the world togeather by music to stand up and say hy we know what these leaders can do, lets just enjoy , YES roxette SHOULD have been in germany is marie was well, they would have fit in perfect.

Marie and Kylie didn’t have the exact same cancer, but the fact is they’re both sick and nobody could expect either of them to appear at something like this. Kylie will probably have less permanent damage than Marie, but they’re in the same boat in terms of the disease taking a long time to recover from (and maybe returning...) I really can’t believe how insensitive some people are to expect Marie to get up in front of millions of people with her swollen face and perform.

Madonna ROCKED and had one of the best sets on the day.
Both her and Macartney were the highlights for me.

I saw almost whole concert. I must say it was nice to hear Pet Shop Boys with their great hit “Go West”. Then Maddona was very good but their words to London “.....you are ready?.. Paul Mc Cartney, Elton John, Dido - I dind´t know her much, Duran Duran, Green Day.....

Cancer is bad full stop, weather it be skin cancer, breast cancer, and one of the more serious ones such as a brain tumour.... anyone that has watched a friend or family member go through it knows this...
