I think you could say it in more gently way... I really don‘t understand it. If somebody doesn‘t like these songs - just don‘t reply here and don‘t make other people sad.
joyrider said on June 14, 2005 13:23:
very impressive! another man is really great! really.
you said the songs are demos ... so please add some background vocals (maybe female voice) here and there in the chorus ...
listen to SLEEPING IN MY CAR and listen very carefully to all those great backing vocals you’ll see (or hear) that the backing vocals make the song bigger and even better!
and think of me when you need a design for your album ;) (web link in my profile).
rock on.

ps: and listen to NEW ORDERs latest album WAITING FOR THE SIRENS CALL ... could be inspiring ;) and btw: a great album!

Yes, I think you have potential when it comes to vocals.
You have characteristics in your voice, try to keep it and do not try to copy other artists too much.
KixGuy said on June 15, 2005 02:12:
I like them. They are very catchy. I must be honest: the lyrics can be improved, but the harmony and melody are very nice. The arrengement is nice too. I like “Another man”, especially, it’s kinda 80’s but fresh at the same time. Could be a hit-single. Don’t give up. You’re a talented guy. :)

Thank you for listening and saying something about my demos! I honor all your opinions and I hope you keep listening and reviewing my songs!
And good summer for you all=)!

I just wonder what my english sounds like? I know that it´s not very good because my own language (finnish) is so different in many ways.
It would be fun to know how does my english sound for those who live in english speaking countries. People who are speaking/singing bad finnish sound usually kinda funny and childish (almost like Tweety bird, lol!).
KixGuy said on June 18, 2005 01:38:
English is not my mother-language, but I can tell you I understand every word you say. But, hey, singing is one thing. Speaking is a whole another thing :P
Cicci_ said on June 21, 2005 16:04:
They’re good =) And hey, listen carefully to Roxette. Especially Per sounds swedish pretty often... And on a short strip when he says “So do you wanna get excited?” on my computer, it’s like OMG, take english lessons! You don’t have to be a star in english to be a popstar!
damoz said on June 26, 2005 07:46:
hey Jale! very impressive, what programs did u use to create these songs? the vocals could be turned up a little, perhaps try to do “double vocals” for the chorus, that effect sounds real good.
If u like go to my site & listen, have a look at www.fl.net.au/~damsongs perhaps we could write a song together ;)
chrisjankunas said on June 29, 2005 18:43:
Wow, what program/s did you use? Interesting to know. They sound quite good to me!

I studied recording arts for over two years and now I´m trying to have my own commercial recording studio at my home. These songs were recorded in a living room at city apparment so it was quite difficult! Now I have own house and there is very isolated musicroom and best of all it´s in the countryside.
I have Yamaha´s acoustic guitar. And at first I write my songs with that. My microphone is quite bad. It´s AKG´s 3700D if I can remember it´s model right. It´s like Shure SM57. Dynamic mic. Wish I could buy better soon...
Epiphone Sheraton electric guitar. Normal PC with Terratec DMX6 Fire 24/96 budget soundcard. I use Cubase SX2 for sequencing and I got Yamaha´s mini MIDI keyboard.
Software I use are: FXpansion BFD for live sounding drumming and Spectrasonic‘s Stylus for more lofi sound. My basist is Spectrasonic´s Trilogy and for pad sounds I mostly use Steinberg´s Embracer that comes in Cubase SX2. For guitar amp simulation I use Nomad Factory´s fab Rock Guitar Legends! Of course I got DI box (DOD‘s active box...I don´t remember model)between my guitar and soundcard. Is that all...For mixing I got Waves Plug-ins. Well...yes, I have Auto-Tune also...and loads of samples.

I´ve added new songs to www.mikseri.net/jale. There is also one song sung in finnish language. Please take a visit=)!
chrisjankunas said on September 7, 2005 10:48:
Well done! Again !
Edit: Have you considered recording your oiwn version of a roxette song? It would be interesting to hear the instruments used etc !
Jale_tm said on September 7, 2005 16:38:
Good idea! Somehow I´ve never even considered a Roxette cover. But I can´t put it online into www.mikseri.net/jale because covers are not allowed there. Where shall I put my Rox cover MP3? Any ideas?
Let´s make a poll about what song should I cover=)! Interesting...
Edit:My favorite would be Gessle song Always braking my heart! Or maybe an old Roxette song from LS! or POP?! Shadow of a doubt? Chances...
gyllene_tjej said on September 10, 2005 00:03:
because it’s YOU who’s gonna do it, you should be given the priority to choose :) And surprise us!
I’m sure people from the forum could host your songs, if not try the free services like www.yousendit.com
or
www.rapidshare.de
there are certainly more ones to choose from!
You could cover Little miss sorrow too! :o)
chrisjankunas said on September 10, 2005 09:42:
I was thinking which songs would suit your voice (obviously a per song)
so maybe Almost Unreal (demo version)
Or take BIG L and make it sound like She doesnt live here anymore like Per said he would do!
Maybe you should re-record Another Man - I really like that song !
Mari said on September 11, 2005 05:48:
Maybe Stupid would be nice cover. Or Little Miss Sorrow. How about some Swedish songs?
Jale_tm said on September 21, 2005 12:05:
Yes!
Now I have female singer for my demos=)! I hope that you will hear about this project soon! We are working on a ballad. By the way! I did make a cover song last night...I won´t tell what it is yet. I try to upload it to somewhere...
Jale_tm said on September 21, 2005 12:18:
There it is!Segla på ett moln! I don´t speak swedish or understand it very well so this was a challenge for me. I was up late last night and this song came to my mind. I´ll continue making another cover song...And I will upload my own song´s soon...=)

I´m disappointed. No one reviews this cover. Just click the link. Select Free option from that page and then wait for a while(there are seconds running downwards before the song itself appears) and download song. Thanx!
chrisjankunas said on September 26, 2005 06:29:
Haven’t heard the original :( but I did like your one.
Mari said on September 26, 2005 12:00:
The cover is good! You obviously don’t have problem with Swedish lyrics. Maybe you need little bit more energy to singing?
RobS said on September 27, 2005 09:45:
I don’t know any swedish, but sounds really good. Although the vocals could have a bit more ’power’ in them.
mediamaffia said on November 26, 2005 10:01:
Jale, have you tried www.soundclick.com ?
You can host your own music there - strictly speaking in the terms they don’t like to accept songs unless you own the copyright of the audio - I think that means if you have recorded your own cover version then it IS allowed lol - just posting other artists recordings is not!!
I would love to hear your stuff - they also do download/play charts too as well as a section for people to post there cover versions!
Give it a go!!!
x

“Another man” is your best one. Best energy and funny changes of the chords.
You sound a little bored sometimes, you could improve that by trying to sing stronger and, maybe, higher.
