I want to download some of Per Gessles and Gyllene Tider’s Swedish songs, but alas I am but an american and I do not know Swedish. Is there somewhere online that will translate I have tried several sites but nothing came of them. Or if anyone can help me I would apperciate it.
Also what are your favorite songs that they sing in swedish?
Please try to limit them I have to pay for what I download, and well my husband might have to put me on a budget if I keep up my current trend.
Thanks in advance.

I don’t really speak english well, so when I need help with it - I use this site.
http://world.altavista.com/
It’s not perfect, but gives a good clue of what something you don’t understand means :)
Hope that helps with translation :)
EDIT:
Stupid me. It doesn’t translate Swedish :(
EDIT:
I’ll leave the link up if someone wants it anyway.

It’s hard to advise music without knowing what kind of songs you like: more soft or rocky etc. So I’ve picked songs according to my taste. For example if you like She Doesn’t Live Here Anymore you will probably like the most part of my list of Gyllene Tider’s songs.
PER
Blåa Jeans (Och Röda Läppar)
Timmar Av Iver
Här Kommer Alla Känslorna (På En Och Samma Gång)
På Promenad Genom Stan [Marie also sang on this one]
Om Du Bara Vill
GYLLENE TIDER
Ljudet Av Ett Annat Hjärta
Billy
Gå & Fiska!
Juni, Juli, Augusti
Kung Av Sand
Solens Vän
Det Är Over Nu
Ordinärt Mirakel
En Sten Vid En Sjö I En Skog
+ if you find live albums “Återtaget” or “GT25 Live!”, from there
(Hon Vill Ha) Puls
(Kom Så Ska Vi) Leva Livet
Ska Vi Älska, Så Ska Vi Älska Till Buddy Holly
Sommartider

Thanks for the replies, I do tend to go for some of the softer songs, but do enjoy listening to the other ones as well.
All I have to do now is go out and buy a swedish dictionary or some tapes to learn the language.
I went to Roxbytes but I have trouble downloading some of the demos, not sure if they are suppose to be full length or not but they tend to say complete with only 30 secs of the song, I have emailed them but no reply.

Yeap, it would be nice finding any translation site for Per Gessle swedish music. I love ’mazarin’ solo album and Gyllene tider ’Finn Fem Fel’.
Please any help! :)

soft song with GT? “Juni Juli Augusti” is great I think, I think of the last summer when I hear it!

@jluis: I don’t think there is a site for translating all texts from swedish to english... but here’s a really good site for translating words (both English-Swedish and Swedish-English).
The site is in Swedish but “Översätt!” means translate and “Svenska till engelska” means “Swedish to english”.
Of course you have to translate word by word, so it can be a bit confusing. If a word doesn’t work (like the word “känslorna”) try to take away the “-na” in the end... (swedish pluralis).
I tried for example “Här kommer alla känslorna (på en och samma gång) which became: “Here comes all the feelings at the same time”. That actually means “Här kommer alla känslorna (på samma gång)” but anyhow...
Please try and then tell me if it works or not...
