Feel The Heat

There´s a song by this dance-act, Ravers Nature, called “Feel The Heat”. The main-theme in the song is actually based on the chorus of “Paint” by Roxette. I was a bit surprised - I mean, “Paint” is´t exactely the most famous Roxette-songs. This might be old news for some of you here, but I just “discovered” this song. It´s not mentioned in “The Look For Roxette” as far as I know.

Does anyone know anything about this dance-act or this song?

I think I know this song, but never noticed the similarity to Paint. On the other hand, Groove Coverage used the theme from Jefferson to one of their songs (don’t remember which one).

god is a girl

The reason I noticed this song in the first place, was because I saw some place on the internet (don´t remember where) that there was a song by Per Gessle called “Feel The Heat”. And in my opinion the similarity to Paint in this song, is just as strong as the similarity to Jefferson in God Is A Girl.

...so it’s up to you Per: Wanna earn some extra money? ;-)

Then search for Trance Voices vol. 10, and go to song #7 on CD 1

There is a 30 second sample that you can listen to, and please notice the name that is used in connection with the song.

It‘s worth checkin‘out!

Its paint! The same lyrics, and it says Per Gessle when you click on it..., so i think its kind of a cover...

Definitely Paint!!! Who said coudln’t notice that?!? ( When was the last time you heard Paint? :P )

Rox On!

Is there anyone out there who thinks “Feel the hit” is not a cover? It’s exactly the same lyrics and tone.

These things can happen.

For example: Anouk (brillian dutch rocksinger) had a song called “Between these walls” 2 years ago.
The intro has the exact same chords, in the exact same row, in the exact same key as the intro of “Secret” from the latest Maroon 5 album.
Yet they never met and Maroon 5 probably never heard of Anouk, though her song was first.

You can read on the Real Player “Per Gessle”. So I do not see any problem with this song.

It is not the case you are trying to explain, Nick. It is simply that they took Paint and not to name it the same they used another word repeated during the song. They do credit it to Per Gessle. In this kind of compilations is quite normal, I have seen it before, very well known songs that get weird names of words in the chorus, a Spanish record company called Blanco y Negro uses to do that with their “Bolero Mixes” and stuff. I actually hate those records, but my brother has some. Probably that song does not use more than the chorus and some additions by the dj’s in charge.
