The whole song (the lyrics especially) sounds very dramatic. Always had a soft spot for the track.

Along time ago there was an interview with Per, Micke Syd and Anders in a Roxette Review (issue 28 I believe) which answered this question. It’s the first line of the chorus played backwards, which was mentioned by someone earlier. Per wouldn’t say how or why it was done. Apparantly it was done by Anders as a joke, and Per liked it, so used it?? Don’t know if tha’s true though

Btw this song has a cool instrumental part in the middle.

the start is “did you keep me waiting” backwards. The vocal track is from ’why did you keep me waiting” during the instrumental part of the song before the guitar solo.

(It’s been a lot of years ago that I played the intro in reverse... :-D )
