"Favorites from C!B!B!" album

I’ve never seen Favorites for sale in any regular bin at a CD store, only in the used sections. Wasn’t it a promotional thing available only McDonald’s—in the US at least. (There were two or three other choices, but the only other participating artist I can remember was a Garth Brooks.)
I do know Favorites preceeded C!B!B! in the late summer 1994 (mostly because my mom died about a month later) and I got my copy at the drive through with fries and a Coke. And I remember being far more excited about the CD than the meal.

I’m guessing they had a few drinks and played a little game to decide which songs they’d kick out for Favourites from C!B!B! :-P

They’re everywhere. I have even found quite a few in 2nd hand cd shops in Australia.

They took off the singles. It was a good idea, but dumb, since the only artist who did this with NEW material was Roxette.

ebay you are right and tev it was a very bad idea because espeically in the usa it ruined the album launch retailers thought noone would have interest in an album with only what 5 songs not on faves? they were right too, the album sold more copies through mc donalds in the usa than it did at retail

the other artists were tina turner elton john garth brooks and soem other country act i believe, most of them were cut from greatest hits compilations that were already out.

I can’t say what EMI thought, I’m not EMI. The only thing they’ve said officially is that they “took off the singles”, and Run To You was never released in the US at least.

Is this CD rare outside the US? It was “McDonalds CD” :)
