I discovered OLP 4 or 5 years ago. They are absolutely awesome!!! They’re loud and they know how to write a catchy tune. If you like bands like Creed and Nickelback, you’ll love OLP - OLP just have better melodies. ;o)
All time fave songs are:
Clumsy, Potato Girl, Blister, Is Anybody Home?, Thief, Life, Are You Sad? and Somewhere Out There.......
They’re awesome! Have a listen!!! I can definitely recommend them.

I love that song they did a few years ago, “Naveed”... awesome guitars in that one.

@coyboy: No, not at all. Purely secular (-:
OLP are one of the biggest homegrown bands up here, the lead singer has a very distinctive voice but it’s really their great melodies that make them so popular. I can add “Innocent” and “In Repair” to the excellent suggestions made above.

I saw them live in Toronto together with j englishman and Jet Set Satellite 2000. I didn’t really enjoy OLP as much as j and JSS.

I look forward to thier next album, next year. But I must say that the little I heard from the song vampier (maybe vampiers, not sure) is not so good, but then again they have never disappointed me before.
