What happened to him?? I so miss his uplifting, perky voice :(( and I couldn´t get enough of ‘ Mambo # 5 ‘ back in 1999.
What about YOU?

He released two (I think, can’t really remember, they weren’t as successful as Mambo #5) more singles and then went on to write songs for other artists using his real name David Lubega - one of them being “God is a girl” by Groove Coverage! And as you might remember, that was the song with the “Jefferson-bridge-used-as-chorus”-chorus... ;-)
And no, I don’t miss him at all! I think I heard enough of him for the rest of my life after having to listen to his first single that often!

Thanks for this topic LaMan! I’ll have that bloody Mambo #5 song in my head all night!

Hehe...This one is, again, a great example of a so-called one-hit-wonder though he did have more than just one successful single...
Same goes for Real 2 Reel: Remember them?? “I like to move it”?? But yeah, “Go on move” & “Can you feel it” followed that huge European #1 single.
Also Bomfunk MC’s... There’s more than just that bloody “Freestyler” that have appeared high on the charts besides just Finland.
Anyway...Back to the topic...I’ve actually seen Lou performing live... Sort of live, anyway :)

That was a catchy number which stayed in your head!
But haven’t heard anything since then.
An example of a one-hit-wonder?
