Hi all!

I’ve just written down the lyrics of the snippets of Marie’s forthcoming album. You’re free to correct me if I’m wrong :-)

OK, here we go:

**
A table in the sun

A table in the sun is all I want.
Just wanna slow down and rest my heart
So many tears and so much fear
So much happened the last 2 years

No rain, no sorrow,
My bad days are over
The sun is shining through
Even November days too
So much whithered
A whole new world
Thank God I’m safe
I’m still cruising the Seventh Wave

It’s hard to understand…

**
All about you

Love to know all about you
Oh baby all about you

Living on my own
I always felt so strong
I listen to my heart
But only in that song, you know

I was afraid I didn’t know myself
I wasn’t me ’till I met you

Love to know all about you
Oh baby all about you
And I want you to know all about me
Love to know all about you
Oh baby all about you
All about you

How could this be for real?
Is life something you feel? ...

**
The change

Suddenly the change was here
Cold as ice and full of fear
There was nothing I could do
I saw slow-motion pictures of me and you
Far away I heard you cry
My tableroses slowly died

Suddenly the change was here
I took your hand, you dried my tears

Na na na, na na na na na na…..

The night turned into black and blue
Still we wondered why me and you?
After all we’re still here
I held your hand, I felt no fear.
Memories….

**
April snow

You said it’s six weeks since she left you, ahaa
And you looked at me with tears in your eyes
But I think I’ve heard, with all of my respect, you said
I’m always gonna love her, I never will forget her
And she’s always gonna be a part of me

When April snow is falling
And you wish you were somewhere else
When you wake up in the darkest part of the night
When April snow is falling down

After 2 bottles of wine, ahaa
And really late in the night...

Grtz,
MC

Wish I had the album in my hands. Promissing lyrics.
One week to go!

oh man I am in love with these songs!!!!

*still in shock*

A table in the sun is gorgeous... really love that. *Sigh*

Im gonna wait till i get my hands on the album, i say this eveytime lol but this time im gonna resist and listern to it in full .

From what I hear I like, I am so lucky to be one of those getting there hands on the snippets.... I look forward to getting the album to listen in full...

thanks for snippets,thanks for lyrics!!
rox-kuryliw –don’t wait..listen it!! ;-)
and said here what you think about snipets..
i can’t wait so long –i’m hunger for Marie voice!! :-)))
and i like what i hear..
i think that lyrics are right..
Thanks again..

uk critics are gonna rip her for the lyrics they are a bit clumsy

Clumsy?? I like them!

Have you ever heard British critics speaking another language except their own? :-)

And actually, who are THEY to judge, ppl who never get to see foreign movies?? Oh my.. :D
I agree with m-cvk.

i think the lyrics are great....and i doubt it would ever get reviewed in the british press anyway because the album probably wont be released. But i do remember Q magazine giving Little Girl a special mention in their review of Room Service saying it had simple lyrics but was quite profound.
I am actually very impressed by what ive seen of the lyrics...i didnt think marie had it in her to write in english as good as this

I wonder: who is ’she’ in April snow? Is that the ’old’ Marie (before the horrific news and the illness)

The song “A Table In The Sun” is WONDERFULL! i LOVE it!!! Marie voice’s very sweet!:-)))

a table in the sun is my fave too at the moment...i cried the first time i heard it, its one of the most beautiful songs ive heard, and maries voice is so full of emotion....fantastic,

Ive been trying to work out April Snow aswell, i’m not quite sure. I thought aswell it might be the “old Marie” before the illness....i thought it might also be about her mother. I’m not sure though. When i get the album it might be easier to work out when we know the lyrics to the full song

This is soooo cool:

“I’m still cruising the Seventh Wave”
(Seventh Wave = Den sjunde vågen)

“I listen to my heart
But only in that song, you know”

Marie rules! :-D

I think its actually “listened”, as she is singing in the past tense, its just that the D is very soft so you can hardly hear it

also think it’s listened :)

@coyboyusa: Try to be positive for once!

i am being positive and realistic at the same time i rember both a uk and a usa reviewer commentiong that ace of base had a better graps of the english language than roxette, and well look at some of the phrases in maries songs, they are gramatic nightmares and reviewers pick on the dumbest things they can find

Ha, Ace of Base can’t even come up with something better than “Teenage love belongs to teenage heaven” and lyrics like that. Now THAT’s what I call clumsy!

A song doesn’t have to be grammatically correct, it isn’t a letter or whatever. It’s allowed to make your own ’language’ (that is grammar AND words). That’s what makes an artist a good and real artist. It’s more about expression that being grammatically correct!

And all the critics writing or talking about grammar mistakes: try to speak (or write) an other language and then we’ll talk about grammar! :-) BTW, do you know why so many American ’singers’ just scream and murmle in the mic? So we can’t hear what they are ’singing’ and so we can’t hear their grammar mistakes (ha, and THEY are native speakers!). :-)
Anyway, this is no offense. I’m just getting tired of hearing negative things about grammar in lyrics etc.

actually bad grammar in lyrics is something that annoys me a little bit, but i’m not sure the lyrics coyboy is refering to. Can we please wait until we see the lyrics in print on the cd booklet, before we start judging marie for bad grammar, because the lyrics above are only what a fan has heard and written down.

great lyrics,soooo touching!

It’s very-very personal album with really deep lyrics. There are many hidden meanings, some of them we even don’t know.
She DOES can write in English! Even if Marie makes a grammar mistake, she fulfills it with her feelings.

April Snow: puzzling lyrics here by now..

well poetry is about the beauty of words put together.. leaving grammar aside. I am sure I have read poems in Spanish that would have got a terrible mark at Spanish exams :P

Judith, completely agree with you about what is poetry. Leave grammar for teachers!

Which are the supposed grammatical mistakes?

There is something like an “artist’s freedom”. ;)

And I have to say that for example “You hurt like a man always DO” sounds better and fits the tune better than the grammatically correct DOES...

Except ’listen(ed) to my heart’ and ’the Seventh Wave’ there’s also a reference to ’November dan’ > ’November days too’ ;-)

i really like how shes put these subtle lyrics in...it makes sense, as it is quite a reflective album, and are things that only fans will really notice, apart from the listened to my heart reference which is more obvious

I’m in a shock. This album is extremely personal. I like the lyrix a lot. They are simple but have a lot meaning.
