Actually, it’s more the other way round in the case of Mercedes: it has been a “normal” name at first and only became a car brand in 1902! They got the name from the daughter of Emil Jellinek, a guy who bought 36 cars in 1900, to be exact...

The most stupid baby names go under the category:
People in countries like Finland come up with names that are not Finnish - more like far fetched from the English speaking countries...Especially when the surname is something very traditional or very Finn-like...

Bob Geldof’s daughters: Pixie, Fifi and Peaches. Sounds like something one might call a small dog!

My bf’s cousin named her baby boy BLADE!!! LOL! WTF?! I’m sorry, thats just waaaaay wrong.... she must’ve been on some really potent drugs when she thought that one up.
(Afterthought: I wonder if she injects between the toes, or between the thighs... i shudder to think!)
