Just a tip for some of u outside the UK, who have not heard of them....Keane are a great new band who have released a new album that is great. I think a lot of roxette fans would like them....they are kind of a cross between travis and coldplay....great stuff

u can listen to the album here:
http://music.bugs.co.kr/Info/album.asp?cat=Track&menu=m&Album=21366
my favourite track is Bend and Break
Actually I havent been subjected to the over exposure because I have been living outside the UK, so I have just discovered them, and i think the album is fantastic

Is that Korean?
Umm, what do I click on to hear it, just in case I accidentally buy it or something?!!!
ncurran said on August 17, 2004 05:14:
yes it is korean, but it is a great site....u can listen to almost any album for free, but u can’t download... u can either click on the headphones beside a song to listen to an individual song...u have to use the player they give you so click on yes when it asks you, it only takes a second...to listen to the whole album- u will see 6 boxes above the list of songs, there are 2 on the left and 4 on the right...click on the very first box on the left to listen to the whole album,
u can also use this site to listen to many other albums, just use the search facility in the top right of the screen

How weird!!!
I was actually going to start a thread on them yesterday, but didnt have time.
I got the promo disc from a friend this weekend. It’s absolutely devine!!! I downloaded 4 trax on the album a while back, and fell in love with it instantaneously. Keane is definitely one of my fave bands now. I havent heard anything like this in years! Piano, Drums and Vocals.... you actually dont realise that they dont use guitars in their music on the first listen. Every song on this cd is a sing-along and a possible single.
Get yourself a copy today!

yes carbon boy, i agree with everything u say...i only started listening to this album a couple of days ago and i am totally hooked...it is beautiful, anthemic, and it just kind of flows along and gels together in a way that every artist tries to achieve with their music. I love it..

i have another favourite track now aswell as Bend and Break.....Bedshaped, the last track is simply divine...

Come to think of it, I heard mention of them on the radio about a month ago. I remember them saying they don’t use guitars. Maybe I’ll just go buy the album! I saw it advertised on TV last night for under $20. Hubby would prefer if I quit installing things on his computer anyway.

no problem roxer, i thought i would post about them, because i thought a lot of roxette fans would like them....i know they sound different to roxette, but just the nice melodies and stuff.
Roxer93 said on August 21, 2004 03:46:
Was it released with more than one cover? Just wondering, ’cos it comes up white on Windows Media Player.
ncurran said on August 21, 2004 05:40:

Somewhere Only We Know must be one of my favourite songs of the year.... beautiful!!!
ncurran said on October 15, 2004 09:10:
mmm, have you listened to the album coyboy, actually they have a very different sound to coldplay. for a start they dont use any guitars.
Skye said on October 15, 2004 21:34:
Thanks ncurran.....they sound great !
I wouldn’t have known if you wouldn’t have mentioned them. merci beaucoup !

on the basis of ’everybody’s changing they are pretty bland, sorry Niel. I dont even think recent rox lyrics are even that bland
ncurran said on October 16, 2004 06:34:
onamission, if thats the only song youve heard then i would seriously recommend you listen to more of there songs...though people have different tastes so its not a big deal if you dont like them...but i have to say when i listen to that album it really moves me in a way that very few albums can, and some of the lyrics are great in my opinion. my favourite (lyrics wise) is bend and break.
When you, when you forget your name
When old faces all look the same
Meet me in the morning when you wake up
Meet me in the morning then you’ll wake up
If only I don’t bend and break
I’ll meet you on the other side
I’ll meet you in the light
If only I don’t suffocate
I’ll meet you in the morning when you wake
Lovesick bitter and hardened heart
Aching waiting for night waiting for life to start
Meet me in the morning when you wake up
Meet me in the morning then you’ll wake up
If only I don’t bend and break
I’ll meet you on the other side
I’ll meet you in the light
If only I don’t suffocate
I’ll meet you in the morning when you wake
If only I don’t bend and break
I’ll meet you on the other side
I’ll meet you in the light
If only I don’t suffocate
I’ll meet you in the morning when you wake
I’ll meet you on the other side
I’ll meet you in the light
If only I don’t suffocate
I’ll meet you in the morning when you wake

I liked Everybody’s Changing... before it was played 100,000 times!! I am very sick of that intro by this stage!
I won’t say too much... I’d like to leave this discussion open for someone who hasn’t become bored of them because of over-exposure...
