I suggest not taking what chartrefugees’ forum says as the final truth. I do not see posible for any country releasing anything before sweden.
ally77 said on October 4, 2004 19:44:
Not quite true wasn’t Mazarin released in Norway before Sweden...
Although I just cannot see this album being released in the UK!!! EMI Sweden say no, EMI UK ain’t even replied to my email from around 5 days ago....
Vixzter said on October 4, 2004 19:53:
if it is EMI r doing it coz ive just booked a friggin flight to Sweden!
Starrox said on October 4, 2004 19:59:
I don’t know about Mazarin, but FFF was released earlier in Norway than in Sweden! I guess they didn’t change the “normal” release day to wednesday like Sweden, so that might happen in more countries...

@vix, if emi don’t screw ya one way.....they’ll get ya another....lol

In Poland release of The Change is planned for the last week of October, but no promotion. The single won’t be released here :(

roxryder, i got this from a pretty reliable source, and not on the forum you mentioned. The particular poster posts the new releases every week, plus details on upcoming new releases and has appeared to me to be very reliable thus far. I am pretty confident that Marie is listed on the newest release schedules. It might be in music week if anyone gets that? Otherwise I might call HMV to see if they have it on their schedules. I am not even living in the UK at the moment, but am interested to find out.
Also it kind of makes sense that it would be brought forward 2 days to 25th, as records are always released on a Monday in the UK. Having said that, even if it is on thelist, i wouldnt be at all surprised still if the release was pushed back or even cancelled...it is EMI we are talking about after all.

I have emailed EMI UK again see what they say.... I would so much love to see this released on the 25th!! :)
Fingers crossed.... :) I can skip the release of the single but give us the album!!! :)

Well that was the 2nd time I emailed them this morning... and still nothing... ruddy ignorant!! :( but then again it is EMI what can you expect!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ncurran said on October 5, 2004 14:27:
i just called HMV in London. They just told me that if it wasnt on their website then they couldnt find it on their system. I’m about to pluck up the courage to phone EMI....i hate phoning people....but they never reply to emails....i wrote when we first got the news of maries album and still nothing.
ncurran said on October 5, 2004 14:39:
called the Glasgow store aswell....no listing...knew this would be too good to be true.
anyway the phone number of EMI records is 0207 605 5000...if anyone else wants to bombard them with calls, i’m going to call them any minute
Vixzter said on October 5, 2004 16:05:
Asked in Virgin Megastore today (HMV were too busy) and they didn’t have it in their listings but said that if it was out and they didnt have it they would order me a copy
Vixzter said on October 5, 2004 16:05:
oh....and no reply from EMI btw ;) well they’ve only had all day to do so ;)
ally77 said on October 5, 2004 16:18:
Nope still nothing from EMI.... pains in the arse those people or what... balls to it, I’ll mine from my usual haunt and if it’s released in the UK I ain’t buying it.... EMI are so shit cannot even answer a couple of e-mails.....
but of course, we only buy the music, so what’s it matter... we’re only fans.. means nothing! :S
rox-kuryliw said on October 5, 2004 21:17:
right iv had enough i want it for christmas, my mum cant us a computer to get it for me. im not getting my own present lol. so im phoning them tomorrow! and giving them a right telling off. ! ! !

From EMI sweden....at least that branch of emi has the decency to reply to fans (within 24 hours too). I can’t believe the crap customer service of EMI UK. Its absolutely ridiculous....anyway...certainly looks like this release schedule was wrong. Its just really strange that it is appearing on UK release schedules floating about the net... i’m still going to phone EMI in london though. Part of me wants to enjoy being an annoying customer cos they are absolute d**kheads
Dear Neil,
It is still very early days in the project and there are no guarantees this album will be
released in every territory in the World.
I doubt it will be released in England unless it becomes a huge hit in Continental Europe.
Best wishes,
