"2nd Chance" UK release!

Could it be true? According to this site http://www.dvdfever.co.uk/music.shtml “2nd Chance” is scheduled for a UK release this Monday, Oct. 4th! Hope the UK gets a 3 or 4 track single like they usually do... anyone know more about this?
Denstandigaresan said on September 28, 2004 09:23:
They had up to the 6/12/04... but Marie is nowhere on the list. But said it’s not a complete list, so to try again Monday morning.
But I would think if it was coming out then it’ll be there.

Strange that it’s listed on that UK website though.
Who else could we try?

There is virgin... MVC... Our price(if they’re still going!)... tower records... ermmmmm... can’t think of any else! :)

If I had a direct email for EMI UK I would email them, but when I try the site cannot find a “contact us” bit.... ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Would be so cool if it is to be released... but someone I doubt it and if it is, will it be like the last release, no shops stocking it... :(

Just had an answer from EMI Svergie...
Hi,
The Marie Fredriksson single has no UK release date.
Best wishes,

Oh well thought it was too good to be true....

I guess they would not have answered to that question.. *g* It seems, they keep it a secret as long as possible..
on_a_mission said on September 28, 2004 16:03:
Its weird that the DVD fever site would even bother listing it if its not going to be released....very odd.
nothing on hmv, I’d forget it personally
roxtexanet said on September 28, 2004 16:05:
How strange that e-mailing EMI UK gets you a reply from EMI Sweden (-: Anyway, I hope it gets a UK release after all... I wonder where that DVD site got its information?? Seems like if it were really coming out on Monday at least one of the stores would know...
Sorry for sounding a false alarm...
ally77 said on September 28, 2004 16:30:
@ roxtexanet
I did not EMAIL EMI UK, I emailed EMI SWEDEN through there official site to ask about a possible UK release... they answered within about 30 minutes with that response... :)
EMI UK was emailed also, still waiting for a response :(
Vixzter said on September 28, 2004 16:30:
Pointless releasing the single here, an album release would be better, preferably on the same day as Sweden and then i wouldn’t have to wait a day or so for it to arrive ;)
Single release would be waste of time effort and money (EMI like that alot)
roxtexanet said on September 28, 2004 17:09:
@ally77: Oops, looking at the sequence of posts I realise that I jumped to the conclusion that you e-mailed EMI UK only... okay, that makes some sense!
@Vix: I agree, a single release makes little sense when there hasn’t been any UK airplay (that any of us is aware of, anyway!) but then, if they can release albums without singles (“Room Service”), why not singles without albums? (-;
ally77 said on September 28, 2004 19:22:
I think we are all kidding ourselves if we can expect it to be released in the UK... great if it happens.. but this is EMI we’re talking about... :S
RoxHard said on September 28, 2004 23:29:
Hey... maybe if we all e-mail EMI UK asking MF questions they might think the album is in big demand! Think about it, if they get 200 e-mails a day, and 100 of them are about MF - they couldn’t help but be impressed!
Marie mightn’t be able to promote it, but we might get a few TV advertisements, like they did with The Ballad Hits! Or, in the very least, they could put it on the shelves!

It is a good idea... but 100 emails is not really ideal for the release of an album... unless of course we all email from a different email address about 6 times each.... :)

Even though you can’t get in the UK you can still of course get it at CDON. I know that’s not the same, but at least something.
It’s hard to get the meaning of “international” from EMI Sweden...
flower said on September 29, 2004 11:01:
If released international I’d rather buy this cd in my own country, just to improve the sale-figures.
Maybe all of us should do this...
Vixzter said on September 29, 2004 17:38:
@flower: if i waited to buy it in my own country i’d be waiting a long time ;) of course if it ever came out here i’d prolly buy it simply for the novelty of going into HMV and seeing it on the shelf ;)
on_a_mission said on September 29, 2004 20:57:
the UK is a wierd place...well, EMI’s twisted little island is, that’s for sure. However, I may actually die of shock if Marie’s record get’s released there.
Denstandigaresan said on September 28, 2004 09:16:
Oh ma lord... I’ve no pennies!! AARRRRGHHHH!
*credit card starts to look nervous*
Ooooooh, might phone HMV or someone in a mo. :)
