2nd Chance or Solsken?

Solsken will be released next week and 2nd Chance 6th of October. Which one goes higher on charts? I think 2nd chance. GT is more popular than Marie, but Solsken is not a new song.

I think both tracks are for totally different audience (besides the ones that like both songs).
Personally i like meer up-tempo music and thus like GT more, but it is very good to have Marie back.
I will definitely buy Marie’s album.

But they aren’t released on the same day, Solsken’s out this wednesday, 2nd chance next wednesday!

Not too many people care about the demos.
I think Marie will outsell Gyllene Tider (even though her singles usually don’t sell that much)

Solsken is a way better song than 2:nd Chance, IF Marie’s song passes Solsken on the charts it’s only due to that Marie hasn’t released anything in four years, and that Solsken is single no 2.

yep, agree. But Marie doesnt write songs to be huge hits like Per tries to do. Per makes sure his songs has all the bells and whistles to make it a hit, like catchy lyrics and melodies.

2:nd Chance will never be a huge hit. It’s not that kind of song at all. For me it’s a very intimate song and if I could I’d keep it away from any commercial charts. But in reality it can be rather good in top-lists due to circumstances.
I’m sure Solskien should did the charts much better.
If I had to choose which one I prefer, I would say Solskien. I’m absolutely strengthless in the face of this sort of songs :)
BTW what is the tracklisting of 2:nd Chance? Will be there something interesting like demos etc?

Solsken is in my opinion 10000000 times better than 2nd chance. Apart from that I don’t think the GT fever has really left Sweden yet, so I would be surprised if Solsken didn’t beat 2nd chance. But as Tev said... it should be that Solsken is the second single...
@Judith: Have you heard of my top 10?? Mark Knopfler is on number 1 on that one now with his new album! ;-)

But people might buy the 2:nd Chance for different reasons. If it gets international publicity it will be good for roxette. But don’t hold your breath anyone, you might turn purple in the process.

Solsken is more ’radio’ song than “2:nd chance”. But Marie’s songs has whole story behind it. Comeback, recovering, second life. And because of that it is more important event than new happy GT single.

Lord knows I love Marie and I’m thrilled out of my skin to have her back, but 2nd chance is not the kind of song that would be a hit, except for the fact that Marie has been sick and people will buy it out of curiousity or respect for her. I think the lyrics are quite beautiful but the song is too old fashioned for the charts. And if you’re trying to get her to compete with GT she will never win because GT are HUGE here in Sweden. I can’t turn on the radio without hearing them at least 5 times a day.
Anyway like a few people have said, f**k the charts, we’re just happy to have Marie back. I don’t care if she’s singing about her toothbrush, I just wanna hear her voice again.
