Ana Johnsson

A few days ago I was listening to Virgin Radio and heard an amazing song. I’ve checked their website to see what it was. It’s called “We Are” from Ana Johnsson. It’s simply amazing! Powerful, catchy tunes, I can’t stop listening to it since I’ve first heard it, you really have to check it out. It can be found on the soundtrack album of Spiderman 2. Of course, Ana is Swedish - http://www.ana.nu . I’ve immediately ordered her debut album - Cuz I Can - from Skivhugget :-)

I like this song, but not that much... I think that her voice is amazing (it makes her look like she’s angry, desperate...).

Just seen the video of the song. Gosh, it has exactly the same concept as A Thing About You :-))) Hmmm, mabye it was alos directed by Akerlund?

It’s on the Spiderman2-Soundtrack.

I like the song as well. Is her album any good?

At least it’s way better than Excellence :D

What’s Excellence?

Ana was in a popstars-contest and she was one of the “winners”.
The group was called Excellence and was quite popular as long as they were shown on TV each week.

But they didn’t really play her kind of music (try mindless top 40-music).

She prefers R&B etc.

I won’t say I know her, but before she was famous she was a black jack-dealer at a couple of nightclubs in the city were I live (and it’s quite a small city) and she was also working at a local recordstore were I spent way too much time.

Heh, when I think about it I’ve actually given her a red rose at Valentine’s day like 7 yrs ago :P

Ah, thank you!

yesterday my mum said she heard a new roxette song on the radio and she was wondered because she heard it first on the radio and not out of my lil flat it our house ;) it was “we are” from ana johnsson ... but my mum was not so wrong - it is roxettish indeed.

today i bought ana’s album and i am really amazed!! her music sounds very very roxettish (or how roxette could sound if they used more guitars and less computers).

a must have for every roxette fan who like more TWATG than HAND ... the chorus of DON’T CRY FOR PAIN is absolutely great and another perfect song is: COZ I CAN. i just wanted to let you know ;)

Yup, awesome album indeed! Highly recommended to all Roxette-fans.
