What is the point of having umpires on the field at all in televised sports, such as cricket and football, if they are constantly reliant upon the 3rd umpire?
Whatever happened to the days when the human umpire’s decision was both final, and respected?

i’ve wondered about that as well so many times... i suppose there’s gotta be someone there to stop all the brawls!!
if they really wanted to there’s nothing stopping them from using the 3rd umpire for all decisions.
