First time I saw The Rasmus live year 1996 (if I remember correct). It was ok back then, but now...well, I don’t like them. The Rasmus has lost funk from their music.
Vixzter said on July 7, 2004 05:45:
@xarrrr: was I one of these?? I suffer from short term memory loss so i have no idea ;)

xarrrr said on July 7, 2004 11:44:
@vix... yeah i think you’re the one by YOUR vixzter tag :P
hmm.... or was it another vix?! i guess we’ll never know :P
havoncruise said on July 7, 2004 16:25:
@Vixster: The Rasmus is a band with great songs. That’s what I think anyway.
@ally77: No, I don’t think they are yanks. At first I thought they might have been Swedish, but it turns out they are Finnish.
Anyone here bought the album “Dead Letters”? I love almost all the songs in that album. They are pretty good.
If anyone is curious here is their website.

@havon: I know I have ’Into’ and ’Hell Of A Collection’ also I was just having a laugh ;)
malena said on July 7, 2004 19:34:
@havoncruise
yep, I have their album and I like it a lot! some people say the Rasmus are constantly copying HIM but I don’t agree, the two styles are different ( I like HIM too anyway :))
My favourite songs off “Dead Letters” are Not Like The Other Girls, First Day Of My Life and Time To Burn but I like all of them...
What about HIM people?
Vixzter said on July 7, 2004 20:08:
now i seriously haven’t heard of them, but if they’re in the same style as the Ras then point me in their direction.
ally77 said on July 7, 2004 21:05:
@ havoncruise, no worries.. I know who they are really, there album has been playing on my CD player for around the past 3 months!
ally77 said on July 7, 2004 21:22:
Oh yeah they are good... only wish I remember them well back from ROOM SERVICE tour... ;) I never did pay much attention to support acts!
xarrrr said on July 8, 2004 11:34:
LOL ally i have the same problem (not about RS cos i wasnt there) but support acts usually suck!
zaine said on July 8, 2004 12:07:
but they have cool promo stickers with which you can detatch your eyebrows with
purplemedusa said on July 8, 2004 12:32:
BTW Zaine, did your mom not read the safety tips on them before she gave you the stickers? That’s so irresponsable of her!!
zaine said on July 8, 2004 12:43:
lol my mum wasn’t there. I was left with some crazy people who kept going on about some band named Roxette...
purplemedusa said on July 8, 2004 12:50:
... and you were just left to rub sticky things all over your face!! Someone should inform you parents about this as it could become serious oneday!!
zaine said on July 8, 2004 12:58:
I wasn’t just left to do it, they were encouraging me to see how much I could take off in one go. They really are bullies...
xarrrr said on July 8, 2004 13:26:
hahahhhaha PM dont believe a thing she says! ;) (well except for well.... yeah some eyebrow was removed ahahhaah.... it was so funny!)

zaine said on July 8, 2004 13:30:

purplemedusa said on July 8, 2004 14:48:
U guys need help!! (But don’t take it from me... I’m not all that well either!!)
purplemedusa said on July 8, 2004 15:15:

purplemedusa said on July 9, 2004 10:13:

I do love how threads go waaay off topic. ;)
havoncruise said on July 12, 2004 06:03:
@malena: I agree! I love those songs as well. Out of the ten songs in the “Dead Letters” album, track 1, 5, 6 and 7 are my favorites. But I also love 2, 3, 8, 10. Track 4 and 9 I’m not fond of, but they are still good songs.
malena said on July 13, 2004 21:23:
yep, I don’t like those tracks either... ( In My life and Back In The Picture right?) :) that’s funny...
What do you think of HIM? Have you ever listened some HIM songs?

ally77 said on September 16, 2005 09:46:
Was wondering what people thought of the new album? Mine has arrived in the post this morning but not had a chance to listen yet?
ally77 said on September 16, 2005 19:47:
Well I’ve listen to it about twice now this evening, it’s good, not sure I think better than the last.... but I still look forward to the concert next month!
Vixzter said on September 16, 2005 21:55:

rox-kuryliw said on September 21, 2005 20:51:

Lucifer’s angel
Keep your heart broken
Don’t let go

xarrrr said on September 24, 2005 19:01:
lol i didnt know it was even released here til yesterday in hmv! lol. its really cool..... i think a little more pop than the last.... maybe.... but i like :P
animalkingdom said on September 25, 2005 20:03:
I liked “In the Shadows” for a while...”No Fear” needs a lot of listening before it really opens up. Anyway, I am not a fan, in fact I am a little annoyed by the whole band by now.
And look who got them where they are nowadays! Micke Nord! They’d be nothing without the Swedes!
However, it seems their big popularity has vanished in the UK. The new album didn’t even go to Top-40...neither did the first single.
rox-kuryliw said on September 25, 2005 20:41:
huge shame, i love ’no fear’ and the vid, i think the very under rated, but most likely they will get dropped by uk now :-(
VERY poor promo in UK, i didnt know it was released myself, thats why its not charted well, they always do this with foriegn speaking bands it seems :-S
ally77 said on October 19, 2005 12:38:
Vix, you had better let me know if anything happens, I will see them in Manchester next week also! :)

Excellent concert last night! Lauri looked so hot! :) Had a great view of the stage, got talking to some others I’d met from an online study forum I was using... I drank way too much beer and waited so long for a train back from Oxford Road, I gave up and got on a bus! Took forever to get back home!
but it was so worth it..... until next time!
Highlights they played “Ghostbusters” and “Wonderwall” which went down so well with everyone! :)
I spotted some Corrie stars in the audience! :)
Vixzter said on October 27, 2005 16:21:
Sounds like it was better than the London gig.
I only had 1 beer cos it annoys me when I have to pay £3.50 for a can of Carling ;-)
ally77 said on October 27, 2005 17:55:
Yeah it was good, beer was £2.50 in Manchester!
Mind you student digs area so I am not surprised.... + not had beer for ages and once I got the taste there was no stopping me, I should not be drinking.... whoops!
xarrrr said on July 6, 2004 19:48:
