Are the big in the US ???

I just wondered is ’Anastacia’ or the ’Sugababes’ big in the US (think Anastica was but her new stuff rocks), they are both big in Europe and i like there albums so i just wondered :))

Sugababes album just debuted at #98 on the Billboard 200 here in the States - or so I read.
As for Anastacia, she’s not well known here really. In 2000, Epic issued “I’m Outta Love” as a single and it only managed to get to #93, so her album was pushed back. After another flop with the single “Not That Kind,” Epic pushed the album back again. It didn’t come out till spring 2001 (a year after they first tried “I’m Outta Love”) and once again they tried “I’m Outta Love” at radio. It went nowhere again. But her album came out and it charted somewhere in the lower portion of the Billboard 200.
Anastacia got a spot on VH-1 Divas Live in 2002 and her album debuted in the Top 30 of the Billboard 200 due to the appearance and discounted album. “One Day In Your Life” got some brief video airplay on VH-1 but it went nowhere and the album fell fast.
Epic issued a maxi-single for “Left Outside Alone” in the USA in April, but so far, it has gone nowhere. I hope we still get the album here. I’ve been waiting for it!

starnge ’Left Outside Alone’ is big in UK best song of year i think so far. And i read her album has now gone number one in over 7 counties. US is really a world apart isnt it.

I really, really liked her new song - however, my image of her went downhill when I learnt her breast cancer was found when she went to try on silicon... And on the LOA video she’s got quite boobies...
Apart from that, I think she could really breakthrough in the US since she differs from the overly sexysweetbitches such as Jessica Simpson and Britney.

ye i would of thought next step for sugababes is a HIts album or maybe squeeze in another album i hope, they just get better each time i think.
My sister had to have a breast reduction 4 years ago for medical reasons they also found a lump but it was something harmless thank god.

Maybe In The Middle. The lyrics to that song are so bad that they sound like they’ve been translated from another language. LOL ;) I don’t think The Sugababes should release a Hits album. They’ve only released 2 albums under their current line-up. They surely wouldn’t be able to use the stuff they made for London Records, could they? Are they with EMI now? I’m surprised that something EMI has signed is doing so weel (except Robbie Williams & Kylie). Goodness - they couldn’t even get Mariah Carey right!

Anastacia is known of over here, but I don’t think the other has even had anything on the charts. I remember Anastacia from an MTV Idol-like show from about 10 years ago. I think she won the competition, but then the next thing I heard from her was years later and she was much more celebrated in Europe than here. Not even sure if she’s sver really charted in the Top 40. . .
