Where are they gonna record?

Since the Polar Studio is being closed on May 1, where are roxette gonna record the future projects?
Bearing in mind that the lasts albums have more or less been recorder there! By the way, can anyone fron Sweden explain me why it’s getting closed?!
Tack!

roxette do have their own studio’s i believe called tits & ass,can anyone verify this?

cheers

Yup tits & ass is in Halmstad....

If they follow the trend they’ll record “somewhere in Scania”, in Christopher’s studio... Per has done the two last albums there, I believe...

I’m not sure if T&A is capable of high-quality album-recordings or has enough space for drums, grand-pianos and other big stuff. It’s just a demo studio, although the lines get blurry in the times of cheaper computer-based equipment.

In Stockholm they could still record in Atlantis (worked there before) or EMI Studios (if still in use). For sure there are dozens of good studios we never heard about. Maybe they even go abroad for recording again (like Capri and Marbella).

i guess the capri-sound had the best vibes ;)

while Polar was unique cuz of all the stuff installed there.. I am sure they will find other studios. THere are many or quite some artists in Sweden that have built their own studio, like Christoffer so for sure they will find one :D

And Marie’s got her own studio too. But I guess that one is more for demos.
There are enough recording studios for them to use.

Atlantis and Cosmos in Stockholm, Marie´s Vinden in Djursholm, Per´s Tits ´n´ Ass in Halmstad and SonOfAPlumber in Stockholm, Mono music in Stockholm, Capri Digital in Isola di Capri, El Cortijo in Marbella, Mayfair in London, Ocean Way Rec. in LA. Rox recorded their albums in these and many more places. Yes, Capri is fantastic location, I saw some pictures. And CBB album were recerded there.

Santi, it’s Skåne, not Scania :)

Scania is the english or latin word for Skåne?

Mans, really? I didn’t know that. I thought Scania is just a manufacturer of heavy trucks.

Latin is correct.

maybe roxette build their own studio... that would be fun

I know about Skåne, but I think in English it’s said “Scania”, and I’m lazy enough to try to avoid using the Swedish keyboard config which is the only that allows me to write the Å :DD
