Saw the O-Nox video 4 the 1st time

Happened to catch the Opportunity Nox video on VH1 this morning. I like the fact that they decided to do something different this time. However the video is pretty low budget and a bit boring. It doesn’t help that the song is pretty crap too.
Roxette have definately made worse videos though. eg Stars - ugh!

Nice idea since Marie was sick in those days, but I don’t like it at all. Those cartoons are so simple, they could make it better.
BTW, Stars is a great video, funny and as different as the song for Roxette. I love it!

I agree... “Opportunity Nox” and “Stars” videos are very very very (extra “very” for Stars) BAD !!! Michael Geoghgan did great videos for Roxette as “Crash! Boom! Bang!” and “Fireworks”... Per should give him a call.

The second most popular music video director (after Akerlund) has made some nice videos for Roxette in the past. I think Roxette should work together with him again.

Am I alone in thinking that the video for How Do You Do! is the best they’ve ever made? Unlike a lot of Roxette videos, it’s actually interesting to watch! I love the way that Per & Marie actually look like they had a great time making the video. I love everything about it - the colours, the wardrobe, the way the editing team effortlessly fits the video with clips of The Beatles and Marilyn Monrow. It’s great... and Wish I Could Fly a close second. I still remember the first time I saw it on Mtv UK’s ’Select’ show (a show they also appeared on - which was very exciting!) and I was thinking “what’s gonna pop up next”. I love that video.
By the way, where are you from? VH1 UK never shows anything by Roxette! You’re probably from Germany or something, arn’t you? Shame... I’d just once love to hear someone say “they played a Roxette videoon Mtv, or CD:UK”, or somewhere like that here!

Im from the UK (Blackpool) and i saw the video on the net.
How do you do is a great video, and i agree its one of their best....but how about “she dosnt live here anymore”...now thats a cool one.

They have done many great ones!!!!
The worst video has got to be “STARS!!!”, its a joke!!!! it makes a laughing stock of the band...the singing ducks are just bloody awful. To a non roxette fan they must have watched that video and thought roxette were crap.
So opp Nox isnt really that bad, and besides, at least we got a video under the circumstances.

A note about the Stars video.
Went it first came out I remember seeing it on a “new videos” show on MTVE. I also remember the show’s host started laughing after they played it and making fun of the silly singing ducks.
I was embarressed to be a Roxette fan that day!
