The star shouldn’t be in front of the E, as far as I know. I’ve got a picture of it behind the text...

Who can tell if this is an “orginal” [sic] by only seeing a picture of it? No, this is definitely not an ’86. The star is not in front of the text in any ’86 CD. And if it’s a bootleg or a real ’91, I can’t tell without seeing it for real.

why was the orginal POP album called POP cos it didnt have the song on the orginal ?am i right ?
Denstandigaresan said on January 7, 2004 13:23:
An album doesn’t have to be named after a track on it. It’s not a law.
n-Somnia said on January 7, 2004 14:26:
Exactly. If you look at the Roxette back catalogue, there’s only 2 albums that share a title with a song (Joyride, Crash! Boom! Bang!).
rox-kuryliw said on January 7, 2004 15:08:
I know its not the law clever clogs . I just wondered why call a album ’pearls of passion’ , when the song was left off the orginal version of the album named after that song !! (does not make sence), while joyride the song WAS on the joyride album and same with CBB.

Ted, what do you expect Tev to do?? :S
Pay for his plane ticket, hotel accom etc, and he’ll go and visit the person for you to have a look. *Sigh*
E-mail the person, as for scans/photos, of as much of it as possible. Ask them what is written on the actual underneath of the CD... if anything.
It’s not hard.

I’ve asked the seller for the code in the clear centre of the CD, he gave me the below standing answer:
this is the original 1986 release on EMI SVENSKA AB label, #7464592, made in Sweden
So I think (don’t know) that it’s a bootleg, because of just a code being printed in the clear centre!
What do you all think about that??

This is a scan of my original ’91 CD:

And yes, if it only says “# 7464592” then it’s a bootleg.
Here’s the boot:

So, yeah... would pretty much conclude, it’s a bootleg.

I have absolutely no idea, but it still isn’t written by Per and Jonas. It’s probably written by Paul Stanley.

I do not want to begin the new topic, but guys here’s some more differences. As I got hold of both bootleg and original release I examined them quite well.
I dunno if anybody blind cannot distinguish that fonts on bootleg CD are totally different, but at least “R” letter in Roxette and “of” in “Pearls Of Passion” are! So why stupidly looking at “Toolex Alpha” or similar things. Bootleg makers couldn’t substitute the fonts (as they always try) cos “genius Kjelle” always uses or changes the fonts some way. Also the front sleeve looks like “being simply xeroxed”, no gold paint used at all.
mdekort said on February 2, 2004 12:59:
@ AntiMario: Yes, if you examine them closely you can find more differences when yoy hold them together, but can you tell the difference when you just have 1 copy in your hand, and you don’t know which one it is, can you then tell the difference?? When you’re trying to buy a copy, and you want to determine if it’s an origingal or a bootleg, the codes (Toolex...) are the most easiest way. The same goes for buying through internet (Ebay).

no, this is POP ’86, as you can see.
