and zee, do you do that same to girls on Eid????
for shaaaaaaaaaaaaame :))
zeeshan said on October 27, 2003 09:57:
nah we don’t do that on Eid or any other festivals and besides I am mostly scared of the crackers.
I once did that BY MISTAKE. I was staying at my friend’s place. It was kinda like a get-together of us 7-8 guys. We decided to have some Bar B.Q. late night so anywayz.. we were on the roof and eh.. a friend of ours had some crackers. The crackers were very small but still they sound a lot. That was the first time I tried to use one and ehh.. I threw it on the road and when I threw it a girl with her mom and some friend/sis (just a guess) appeared. I couldn’t see them cuz of the trees and and BAAM!!!
I was MORE THAN SCARED.. I thought I had injured her badly. Me and my friends ducked down cuz we didn’t want them to see us. Oh boy her mom/auntie whoever she was said EVERYTHING that came to her mind but poor thing couldn’t see us or understand where that lil thing came from. My friends told me that the little cracker doesn’t hurt much. U can hold it in your and let it blast and it won’t hurt. I didn’t believe that of course but Shazad my friend did that right in front of me later on.
After we got over this.. it did kinda sound funny to me. I don’t know HOW that little cracker made all its way in her shirt!!!! it was just too amazing and the way she was screaming and jumping! hehehe yeah I must sound really bad and cruel about this.. but trust me I didn’t enjoy it when it happened ’cuz I was real scared. It has been some time now (come to think of it... a LONG time) and when I think of the way she was jumping.. it does make me smile.
That was the first and the LAST time I ever tried crackers. Never in my life I am gona do that again (unless of course Kachina wants me to :p )

hey I saw it everywhere in th school ... :”Happy Diwali!” can anyone explain it plz?? What kind of celebration is it?? :)
kachina008 said on October 27, 2003 15:36:
Zee *ouch*....that would be enough to put me off crackers too :P and no, you can leave the patakha AND my blouse alone :PPP
Aaso, it’s the hindu festival of lights, the hindu new year. on this festival, families usually get together and have a big prayer, after which a huge dinner and lots of fun with fire crackers! the point is to make a big celebration with a lot of noise. also, every room in your house should be lit with a “diya”, which is a cup made out of clay with oil and a wick in it. this is to brighten the house and invite God into your house to bless it.
hope I explained it well... :)
