Fucking Åmål on TV

Hello all,

Tonight is on the Belgian TV Channel “Ketnet/Canvas” at 22:55h the movie “Fucking Amal”. As you might know, the song “När Vi Tva Blir En” from GT is played in this movie!

It’s a great film!!!
Lukas Moodyson’s films are very meaningful.

Have to see if I still have a tape!

Isn’t it the one that features “Hometown” from Marie?

No, that’s Sant är livet!

I was then beginning to wonder what this was doing under Roxette... totally forgetting GT was in the film! well the song!

I have been searching for this film on DVD for what seems like ever as my taped from Sky VHS is a little worn.... I would prefer the SHOW ME LOVE version with the English subtitles... anyone know where I might get a copy... Don’t say ebay tried on several occassions!

@ Thomas... I see you have a copy in your DVD collection...

Hmm, the only subtitled version is the US DVD. The Swedish DVD isn’t subtitled in English. And I think the US DVD is deleted. I got mine at http://www.dvd.com
Hey! It may still be available: http://www.dvd.com/product_movies.asp?type=Movie&productnumber=20023

It was on TV here in Australia a few weeks ago

@ Thomas... Thanx, will check it out! ;)

don’t know how many times I have really seen it. Am the owner of the soundtrack too, the film is like a Bible to me :)

Have seen the movie yesterday.
Was really worth watching.

I bought the movie some 5 years ago after I saw it at “Focus on Sweden” at the yearly Film Festival in Ghent, Belgium...
I must say, I liked it in the beginning but nowadays, I’m a bit older, I just think it’s a crappy movie... I apologize to Lucas, he made other and better movies...

I remember my mum telling me about it after she read a review in a paper... it was showing at a cinema in Manchester.. so I hopped on the train and went to see it.... very good film!

I think it is a cute film, very swedish too and of course far from all these comercial (mostly) crappy films :P

We talked about it the other day in my Swedish course (yuhhooo! i am finally learning some Swedish at a school after 10!! years learning it on my own :P)

Saw it at cinema long time ago but I guess the soundtrack wasn’t released in switzerland ;-(
