End Child Exploitation

There is an article in November’s issue of MARIE CLAIRE in the UK to help end Child Exploitation worldwide, If you wanna help you can sign this petiton online at:

http://www.endchildexploitation.org.uk/petition/

This is a real problem and a very big concern, and everyone should sign.
However, just for my curiosity I would like to know how many of the people here would pay 3 times more for the same clothes you buy at stores like H&M, let’s say the quality remains the same but the price is 3 times higher.

Signed!!!

Come on people SIGN! :(

This is important and when I signed still not even 2000 people had signed. :(

I watched Robbie’s film. It brought tears to my eyes.

Done...not at 2000 yet, though (about 1600, I didn’t really pay close attention)

Thanx guys... I am only to happy to pay extra to end this kind of cruelty.....

Good to see some signatures on here... people on R2R did not seem intrested...

Perhaps TDR is better after all.. :)

I am pleased with the response... thanx your made my day!

Lilya 4-Ever Special Advance Screening

Every so often we witness a harsh yet touching experience. Watching Lilya 4-Ever, the latest offering from Swedish filmmaker Lukas Moodysson, was just such an experience. The film follows Lilya, a 15 year old girl abandoned by her own mother and subsequently forced to grow up alone in a dreary suburb in the former Soviet Union. Lilya drops out of school and shares a tiny run-down flat without heating or electricity with her only friend, 11 year old Volodya. The quest for money contributes to an increasingly desperate struggle for survival during which Lilya turns to prostitution. She meets and falls in love with Andrei who promises her a new and better life in Sweden. Seeing this as the start of a new life she packs her things and boards a plane for Sweden not knowing the horrors that await her.

i leaving in former comunist country too,the life here is hard even after 14 years democratic reforms...
and i know that i don’t live in the worst place on the world..so, i don’t forget that life that everyone writing in this board is living is very different ,despite the fact that we are look and feel “very much the same” when we talk here..

but i think that everyone who writing here will become a better man, especially after topics like this, and some day we will be trully “the same” and world will be better place..

signign a paper doesn’t solve a thing its happening right now in afghanistan children ages 3-5 are being abducted and sold how sad and this has been goin on for as long as man have been ” civilized”
