Surrender live...

Hi all, this is my first post here, and I love this site! Its unreal to be able to keep up with everything Roxette are up to :) Too bad I don’t understand a word of Swedish (being Australian, although I am trying, I did found out the meaning of Mazarin!)
I was hoping maybe some Aussie fans could help out :) I went to collect my 12” Dangerous (Waste of Vinyl mix) single from my mums the other day...and the cover was there, but the LP was not...same with Look Sharp, but I have that on CD anyway.
I was actually after the live version of Surrender...its one of my fave Rox songs, and the live version is excellent. Does anyone have a copy they would be interested in selling (and did it ever come out on CD with the live version of Surrender on it? As I would actually prefer it on CD/Tape/MP3, as I don’t actually have a record player, ha ha).
Thanks all, and keep it up - this site is beautiful!

It was released in Australia as well, on 7 & 12 inch. I haven’t heard the studio version yet, but have always loved the live version. I think my collection has been sabotaged...left all the LPs at my mums when I moved out years ago, and was devastated when I discovered half were missing :(
Just located a copy for sale in Aust (on 7”), so should be great if I get the highest bid in.
Thanks for the welcome :)

“Surrender” live is also found on the 1990 UK CD single of “It Must Have Been Love” so this may be perhaps yet another alternative for you to have it on CD... :)
P.S. Welcome too! :)

Hi DeLuk, thanx for the welcome :)
and thanks for the lead, too - I’ll see if I can track this one down as well. I don’t know what it is about that song, it drives me absolutely wild (hee hee), I have to get it back!! ;)

Hey thanx everyone who offered to help me out, I really appreciate it!
I just got a copy on CD from a second hand CD store in Melbourne, and would you believe it the day after I buy it I find it both on cassingle and the missing LP back at my lovely mothers! Oh well, don’t have a record player and who listens to tapes these days, I’m wrapped I found it on CD.
Thanks to everyone who offered to send me an MP3, you guys rock!!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE, you crazy Roxers!!

Ok, this is one I have always wanted to know...
What does Per say at the start and the finish of the live version of Surrender? The start sounds like an intro, but the end he says something and the crowd goes wild...
If any Swedish ppls can help me out, you would solve a 15 year old mystery for me! hee hee.
Thanx!

P.S. You can also get Surrender Live On Video from Roxbytes.com from the Look Sharp Live Tour [The Same recording as the one you have]. The Original is from the Pearls of Passion Album.

Actually it’s Sweden Live, not Look Sharp! Live. The second one is not really a tour-recording, but the videos from the LS album plus two other songs live. Sweden Live is a more or less complete recording, you can download the whole performance in mpeg from ROXBYTES.

“This is a song from ’86 called Surrender.”, “Wasn’t it beautiful? We know another, I hope you recognize this...”

Hey tevensso - thanks so much! I’ve always wanted to know what he says at the start and end of that particular live version, you’re a legend :)

Well, welcome then!
Yes, Surrender is a b-side of the Swedish and German CD-singles of Dangerous.
