I would the box like to include:
- DVD: Unplugged (the complete session)
- updated Video Hits DVD with new hit videos from the 2004 studio albums
- new 2006 studio album
- bonus CD with accoustic versions (Abbey Road style or from a new unplugged club gig) of various songs from Ballad Hits Bonus CD, Pop Hits, RS, ...
of course Collectors Booklets, with unseen pix etc....

...but after that commercial notes I read in the last days, the box will include:
3CD
Don’t Bore Us-Get To The Chorus (for example japanese edit... cos European and US was already released... it means with something from RS)
Love Peas (something like Ballad Hits, maybe also with the songs released on DBUGTTC)
Pop Peas (the same like was mentioned by Love Peas)
and also the DVD:
All Videos Ever Made - the same as was the 86-01, but with 2 videos more...
...so no new things, no live material, no new songs...
I hope this sad prediction won’t become true...

LOL. Greatest Flops? How about ’The Ballad Flops’ and ’The Pop Flops’? ;)
If a box set were to be released, I actually hope it wouldn’t include anymore “greatest hits.” With the release of the latest “hits” collections, it would be a bit silly to release yet another “hits” collection for a box set. Then again, we are talking about Capitol here, so I guess we shouldn’t rule it out.
I think a 4-CD and 2-DVD set would be nice for a box set. The 4-CD set would include rarities - demos, b-sides, live cuts, and even unreleased material. Two of these discs would include newly recorded acoustic versions of songs (voted by the fans) made especially for this box set! One DVD would include the entire MTV Unplugged concert and the other would include an updated documentary, rare performances, behind the scenes, etc.
Why wait till 2006? Why must we always wait? I’m impatient. I think that if we aren’t going to see anything until 2005, why not release a box set early next year? Otherwise, Capitol should at least remaster and reissue their albums.

Yeah.
RoxBox 1986-2006 - the stuff you didn’t knew existed.
4 cds
- Some b-sides (a perfect name would be “besides” :))
- Demos of released tracks (Crush on you, TCOTH, It takes you no time..., Paint etc)
- Greatest remixes
- RS live
2 DVDs
- MTV Unplugged
- A promoconcert & 30 or 60 min documentary (both from 2005/2006)
The box can be released x-mas 2006 - 20 years after Pearls of passion.
Then I will buy it. If it will be another greatest hits, they will have to put in a lot of new stuff if I even will be interested.
JayBee said on September 28, 2003 10:20:
The title “besides” is cool. Is there already a b-sides collection called like this? You should copyright this name.
I don’t want to have a remix album in that collection but more hand made music. Demo versions would be OK as they show the original beginning of the songs.
In my opinion the quality of the RS tour was not good enough for a live release (it sounded to technical - no comparison to the last GT tour and the Mazarin tour). An exception is in my exception the Barcelona gig which was done before the real tour.

öhm, 4 cds plus 2 dvds, any of them with just a little new stuff....? who shall pay for this? ts ts. i don‘t need another best-of-collection. i will be fully pleased with a good new album. that’s all. great idea, ha? ;-)
Keep on thinking!

4 cds
- Some b-sides (a perfect name would be “besides” :))
It would b nice to have hq b-side in one cd.
- Demos of released tracks (Crush on you, TCOTH, It takes you no time..., Paint etc)
Unreleased demos, that is. The demos are often “funnier” to listen at.
- Greatest remixes
Why not? Some remixes are actually good
- RS live
The b-side of ON was not that bad.
2 DVDs
- MTV Unplugged
That one was so long ago they released and why not let DVD make the quality better? Or maybe a new unplugged concert.
- A promoconcert & 30 or 60 min documentary (both from 2005/2006)
...
Let say that “besides” have 15 unreleased tracks and RS live has 20, that make 35 unreleased tracks. Then the promoconcert can squeze in 5 or so unreleased songs, that makes 40 - that’s about 3 cd:s.
daniel_alv said on September 28, 2003 17:25:
why don’t give us a 2-CD
1. all non album songs (all songs that aren’t on the real albums, like seduce me, the voice, the sweet hello....., i don’t want to get hurt) + 5 more
2. RS live in Brussels
and a 2DVD with the live concerts that has already been released on VHS.... and a 20 year documntary

If EMI’s that happy ’updating’ existing material, why the hell don’t they remaster the albums from Look Sharp! to Crash! Boom! Bang!? Especially Look Sharp! sounds sooooo cheap! Just listen to The Look from Look Sharp and then from THP. You’ll note the difference immediately.
snape said on September 29, 2003 11:39:
After all more or less senseless “Greatest Hits, Pop Hits, Ballad Hits, Baladas en Espanol” Albums, it would be very “fresh”, to do some Studio Albums in a row again.
I’m not sure, if I can stand another CD, where “The Look” or “It must have been love” is included, sorry.
A 2-CD Album like “Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness” from the Smashing Pumpkins would be amazing.
*sigh* At least I can dream...

Yes! Are you and I the only one who want remastering here? It seems like nobody else cares! :( I like my albums to sound good! And you are so right about “The Look”! I can even notice the difference in “Run To You” from the “Crash! Boom! Bang!” album and “The Pop Hits.” It sounds crisper and louder on “The Pop Hits.” Just imagine how crisp and cool these albums would sound remastered! EMI/Capitol remastered Marie’s albums in the summer of 2002. Isn’t it time for a Roxette remaster series?
coyboyusa said on September 30, 2003 12:32:
tisk tisk have none of you any imagination at all?
ok here is what the box set should include.
cd1: Close but....
A collection of songs that never made it onto the studio albums in chronoligal order including the 10 or so songs recorded during the 92 tour and the songs scrapped from the songwriting session sof cbb and hand that were mentioned in alot of interviews
cd2: b sides 87-03
this cd shouyld include every and I mean EVERY b-side be it a remix or otherwise but not the demos
cd3: the d-d-d-demos
granted per saoid that some songs never had demos, but there are undoubtedly alot of them we have never ever heard
cd4: Live and Alive
a compilation of their best live recordings up through the rs tour
cd5: Unplugged and seated
the entire unplugged show, the abbey road sessions and the unplugged promo stuff they did for tourism and the usa hits
Also, al of their tour vhs tape shoudl be reissued on dvd as seperate titles withg addition, commentary and exclusive tracks
and the first 500 copies of the box cd set should include the delted single for crush on you that has the almight and extrerem remixes for that song and waiting for the rain :)
antz said on October 2, 2003 08:20:
ok,ok, ok...Mr coyboy ....how about this 4 bn imaginitive ....
cd 1:
A ’best of’ the unreleased songs from all albums
-as voted by fans.
(No The Look or joyride or IMHBL) ...but insted of being taken straight from the albums, each song would be re-enginereed, re-mixed, re-sampled ...in other words they would give us fresh new versions of these songs, good enough 2B released as singles!
Per could also add his personal favs, he could perfect those songs that he wasnt completely happy with when they were first recorded!
cd 2:
A ’covers’ cd. Would include heart of gold etc from unpluged & their concerts, plus some new studio recorded covers (more of Per and Maries musical
influences)
dvd: evry single tv appearance, performance, interview, from all over the world. it would be great to see some of the early footage when they first became big with Look sharp in the US.
And what baout in the booklet, they put all the alternative cover designs/phtots/ideas they had for each album.
antz said on October 7, 2003 07:46:
OK, so after the big news today about the DVD tracklist, I have changed my prediction of the box set:
It will not contain...
The Voice
Silver Blue
Sweet Hello..
Seduce me
crazy about you
any unplugged song
any Abbey Road song
any live performances
..but it will contain:
2 no make that 1 new song
fastforward to a year later...
re-release of boxset will contain...
1 new song .. no make that an additional 3O sec intro to the 1 new song that was released the last time.
Oh and the cover will be split in half, half of it being the old boxset cover and the other the new boxset cover.
Oh yeah and it will be called ’The Recycled Hits’.
