Iraq

I wonder is there anybody still caring about what’s going on in Iraq... Does anybody know what Iraqi people do?
Just so many dirty things .... a hug caos! Everyday people die (American troopers and civilians) ... I felt so so bad tonight when I saw the reportage in TV!! It sounds that everybody has forget about the poor people ... :( (or maybe it’s my idea, hope I’m wrong)
The people are just waking up from the sweet American dreams. Now, they can understand rescuing them from a dictator has made them busy with a bigger one. Where do they go nobody knows!

oh, now suddenly US needs the UN and the US forces are not THAT big? amazing how things change in just a few months eh?

Blame it on stupid George W. Bush!! One of the worst mistakes in US history.

coyboy, you make me laugh. sometimes I wonder if you honestly believe the things you’re writing or you just make up some really weird stuff to piss people of...

the one thing i dont like is that the different moslem factions have been at each others throats for countless years trying to get the upper hand over each other and then one of the clerics gets killed in a car bomb and who does the people blame not the waring factions but the Americans are they so blind in that country or what .all ways give some one the else the blame before looking at themselves

I think I wrote alot in the last politics-related thread which I think was shut down after awhile. There is no need to justify what I believe in or don’t. Cause there comes coyboy with his weird thoughts on American politics that I’d be left speechless or thoughtless at times.
Dear coyboy: How come all of a sudden, after going against the UN and the entire world, Americans seek others’ help in rebuilding Iraq? Didn’t mr. Bush say he will make a better Iraq? For him building a better country meant getting Saddam down and make a mess? Was that all that was required to rebuild the country? I do not think so. Apparently mr. bush did not have a clue that when there is a war or revolution of any kind, it would take years and years to recover and rebuild the country. Not an easy task. Trust me. Your politicians should first take care of what goes on inside their country and then mind other county’s business. They should first take care of maniacs inside the US who go on rampages in schools or kill their kids or etc. ; those who don’t have enough to eat and live IN the US and then spend so much money on war.
Again, we all have different opinion on things. Some are smart enough to know what’s wrong or right and some are just TOO ignorant to realize what’s really going on out there.

Just wanna say something:
AMERICA GOES FROM CANADA TO ARGENTINA!!!
I’m sick of people from a country calling themselves “Americans”. Americans are a lot of people, from very different countries. I think people from all over the world must stop calling those people “Americans”, even when I don’t know how to call them myself, but I feel bad when US citizens or goverment do something wrong and other people says “Americans this...Americans that”, when the rest of America has nothing to do with the problem.
Jud (moderator) said on September 2, 2003 19:22:
erh.. I guess it is because if i (I talk about ME) wanna talk about citizens from Canada.. I say “canadians” and if wanna refer to ppl in AR or BR or.. whatever.. I say argentinian, brazilian.. how to call ppl from US then? United Staters? :O
—
It’s fun (as fun as it can be)... now suddenly US is “poor US who cannot cope with everything”.. some months ago it was the “super power lead by SUperMrBushMan” :O Why aren’t his companies paying for all the mess now, instead of asking for money to other countries and UN .. after sh*ting on this organisation?!
Aaso said on September 2, 2003 23:39:
I’m so happy, It sounds that everybody understand the problem!!
By the way, just a few months ago (exactly 5 months) everything was going right with United Staters (!) It was like this :
“We assure that we will give Iraq back to its people. They can not stand this Saddam Hossein anymore. We, Will, Turn, Him, Down. (it’s just the way that president Bush speaks, not my problem).”
All the countries were sure about the reasons that made that BIG brother have an In(de)struction in the name of Iraqi people... the whole people in the world!!! all of those demonstrations, all of those shouts, all of those poems, all of those cryings, all of those letters, .... hhehehe , who cares. WE, Are, Right, And, We, Will, Continue, Untill, We, Turn, Him, Down. (at the time a finger points to the camera with each word).
UN, poor UN was in the background. Nobody cares ... we will do our job. we need nobody’s sympathy .... even UN couldn’t stop those big wheels!
Now, you see them trying to make this our problem. certainly they have done their job and that’s non of their business anymore. It’s UN’s problem from now on. And maybe it would become Iran and Syria problem in the future :)
I’m starting to get use to these strategics. At first I could not believe my ears what’s their reasoning for thier actions ... now it’s not strange for me anymore. I can even guess the next reaction!

I’m just wondering one thing:
When is it ALL going to stop? All of it. When are the men and women coming home? About 20 of my co-workers are over there right now in some form or another. But mostly... when are YOU gonna stop bitchin about it? Seriously. I’m just curious. When are YOU going to realise that: What’s done is done, and YOU can’t change it. *I* can’t change it and I didn’t even VOTE the sonofabitch into office!!!!!!
When are YOU going to take your own advice and butt out? Those of you who made that suggestion KNOW who you are. I despise topics like this. And this is the last time I’ll post here.
Ferdan said on September 3, 2003 03:46:
But i don’t get you...
why would you leave it easy to politicians?....
if they do something bad, the only way we have to avoid that it happened again is making noise, otherwise it is gonna happen again.
For example Vietnam war, if people didn’t go to the streets..... the soldiers would´d been dying for even more years. People stoped the Vietnam war, not politicians.
So, for people make noise about it, you have to teach them to make noise.
Vixzter said on September 3, 2003 05:51:
@Spooks: I get ya! :) Fortunately for me a couple friends are now back from Iraq.
Anyways.....People went to the streets here......and what good did it do???
Like I said ages ago.....it happend....it was always going to happen, there was nothing anyone was going to do about it by sitting in a street and causing mayhem......appart from split people’s point’s of view. To be united against war you need everyone thinking in the same direction and then maybe the politicians would notice.....but they make the decisions....not the people.....people only vote them in :P
So.....who’s fault is it? ;P

Wars have always been there. They are written all over history books. And they happen not to make things better because they have to, but because of selfishness and the fact that the two parties are too selfish to live in peace. We people always want more and fight for it. Conflicts wouldl never stop unless we come to terms with ourselves and within ourselves that living in peace and with less is better than living in war and worriness with more. I’d rather live in a world where everyone is living a standard life and peace than where there is always a conflict somewhere with people dying of hunger and diseases.
As I said before, it’s all screwed up because we are never satisfied with what we have. Politicians get into other countries, searching for oil and other resources by which they can get rich and gain power no matter what. The rest is up to people whether they can rebuild the country or not.
It’s 11:52pm and I gotta get up early tomorrow. I’ve got so much to say but I still think it’s worthless to speak my mind when some ignorant person posts another reply. It’s messed up.

obviously people are mis interpreting yet again the things I say. The un had dragged its feet on iraq for over a decade...they knew all too wel the genocide he was comitting, from the kurds to factions and clans within his own country...but due to the complacent nature fo the world in general, america was yet again forced by hand to intervene. Everyone saw it coming noone wanted to help...thats a simple unavoidable fact.. Many nations of the UN supporrted the reslution that called for military action if saddam yet again failed to comply with the un...the once the united states was there everyone was in an uproar.
SO, now that everyone wants to pick at the usa for its failures and its accomplishemntrs the un, after one of its representatives falls victim to a terrorist act, decides to withdraw its staff from iraq...the same peoepl who are also dying from terrorist act....kinda hypocritial...so noiw the usa is offering an olive branch and it seems the rest of the world isnt interested at all....maybe saddam was right for every one of him theres another dozen or more already in power somewhere else in the world
coyboyusa said on September 4, 2003 16:55:
oh and btw judith tis all the foreign elements that claim the united states is a world super power..i dont think anyt american claims to want to rule the world...the whole problem with the world is they are always looking for someone else to make decisions for them...and then once that pwerson goes ahead and makes the defcision they are so disgruntled with it...i wonder where we would have been say 10 yrs down the raod when saddam hussien like many of his neighbours had developed a nuclear device....where would we be then with semi throd world elements holding the world for randsome witht he threat oif nuclear attack? see noone wants to think about that now do they

Aaso: Ever hear of the phrase “Sensory Overload”?
For me, it means: Too much information in a short amount of time. It doesn’t matter what it is, if it gets to be too much, it gets annoying. Derek’s probably feeling the same effects that I am. Yes, I am concerned. Yes, I want it to end. HOWEVER, I also realise something. Whether I wanted it or not, this war happened. What am I doing to change it? VOTING FOR THE OTHER GUY for starters. Writing letters to my senators, congressmen, representatives.
But there’s also something else that you must realise, there are states that are primarily one party in the US. Utah is primarily Republican. So, 9 times out of 10, even if I voted Democrat, a Republican will take office. Because that is how the majority of the state feels. There isn’t much that can be done about the current situation, what’s done is done. We have to learn from it and move on.
Can people do that? At this current time, I say no.

hinestly its time for the un not to wwithdraw its staff from iraq but have a bigger presence in iraq.....its a bit absurd expecting american forces to provide security for a country the size of iraq. one of the biggest thingsa that needs to be donw is close iraqs borders with iran and syria where all these millitant car bombing guerilla warfar radical muslims r coming from. a un embassador shouldbe in charge of setting up the interim government in the country not an american...and they should be seeking help from foreign interests in rebuilding and not just american companies
