The value of Music

I’d like to start a discussion about the value that Music has, in these days where music is everywhere, when silence is a more rare item than music in our city, in which people doesn’t seem to have fun without music, that you can’t start studying because you’re neighbour upstairs is playing Ricky Martin all aloud, in which you can hardly sleep because there’s another neighbour who plays music aloud at night too, in which you can’t see tv for 10 minutes without listening to several songs... What about the music, is this crazyness worthwhile?

Music is everywhere. You can’t escape from it.
Depending on which kind of music is played, you can love it or hate it.
But the value is absolutely very high.
I couldn’t live without music, I think.

music is the best in this world after love and together with nature... nothing can compete against a cosy moment with the one you love in the middle of a forest listening to the music from birds :D

santi is right...we are bombarded by music (noise?) everywhere we go. It’s amazing.
for me, music is a personal experience, a kind of private pleasure. that’s why I’d rather listen to my walkman with MY music, than the rant that goes on the radios these days!! none of the stuff I listen to is mainstream, so that keeps it personal.

music these days is more aqbout generating a profit. Look at most of the major albums today..bvery few are like roxette albums where every song is listenable even enjoyable, most have the 3 singlesand that is it. Noone developes artists anymore..and the ones who claim they are artists are actually a team of handlers prodoucers and a few computers loaded with pro tools

Music is a very important part of my life. I listen to music while I’m working, reading the newspaper, having fun, to dance, anytime, anyplace. Silence is nice and necesary sometimes, but most of time I rather be listening to my dear music. Actually I can say it’s part of my personality, it’s my favourite hobbie, and it’s a popular topic to talk about with anybody. I have friends that I met thanks to music, and I even studied thanks to music, because in a contest about popular music knowledge I won a motorcycle, a big and expensive one, I sold it and could pay my career.
That’s just a part of what music’s been in my life!

Yeps,it is :)
Music makes us realise we have feelings for things we’d never thought we had!!!!
Like, when someone sings about war,we all think “it’s far from our home,it can’t happen here” but, when you listen to the song, you realise what it is for people who live in war,and you’ll feel sad,........
It brings us sadness, hapiness, makes us dance, cry or laugh,..... music is an important key to our feelings!!!!!
