Why was "POP" left off the POP album?

Any logical reason why Pearls Of Passion (released as b-side to the “Soul Deep” single) was left off the album of the same name? Just for mere curiosity!
I personally find this one a lot better than “GoodBye To You”... but leaving good songs behind has been a usual thing on Roxette over the years....

I also wonder why “Verkligen” was left out of Kent’s Verkligen album, it’s a terrific song!

Verkligen is a great song, but I don’t think it’s fit in the album (like TCOTH dosen’t fit in the HAND album to where it was meant to be in the first place). That might be the reason why they didn’t put the song in the playlist ov Verkligen (yes, the album).

Wasn’t the song “Pearls Of Passion” recorded a tad too late for the pressing of the album?

Well, I’ve read (don’t remember where) that Pearls of Passion wasn’t included in POP because Clarence (Ofwerman, of course,-the producer-), didn’t like very much this song, even he thought it was ugly...
But there’s another reason too: you know that in those times it was more common to buy a vinyl than a CD or a cassette, and the 12” vinyls didn’t have enough space to include this song so it was left off the album.
These are the reasons I’ve read and heared, don’t know if they’re true but seem to be true. And, in my opinion, it was a mistake to leave that song off. Maybe they could have leave off Goodbye to you or Voices to put this one, but nobody knows...Roffe was the leader and he decided...

Greetings!

if i remeber right it was recorded 2 late for the album :P

If you have a look at the reacording dates, it was recorded too late for the Album, almost a year later or so. I think it would have been the best song of the whole POP Album. It sounds so much more Pop and fresh. Much better than Soul Deep anyway, but hey, that’s just my opinion. ;-)
